Lookinh for any feedback on our current trip plans!

Ok, so our family will be staying on property for the first time in years and it will be our boys first time staying on property! We are very excited for this upcoming trip because the last 3 or 4 wdw visits, has been with extended family, and this will be the first time in a few years its just is going.

There is me, 28, DW 31, DS 5 and DS 2 ( he will be 3 a few weeks after we visit)

So far we have decided to do te dining plan for the first time, and let me tell u boy is it something else planning all these meals! We are doing the regular dining plan with 1 TS and 1 QS daily. These are our plans so far!

May 4
Arrive at AOA, depending on when we arrive (since we r driving) either swim and relax at the resort or go to either Epcot or magic kingdom. We will do an ADR at chef mickeys that night.

May 5
QS breakfast at AOA, followed by animal kingdom. We are those people that could end up staying there all day! It's such a pretty park! Depending on the crowds we will stay late or go back to resort and swim. ADR dinner at Boma.

May 6
ADR breakfast at kona cafe, take the monorail to Epcot, ADR dinner at garden grill.

May 7
Breakfast ADR at ohana, followed by a day at magic kingdom which is a tradition or us! QS dinner somehwre!

May 8
Late breakfast ADR at 1900 park fare followed by resort exploring, swimming, and then DTD at night! Any good quick service places there?

May 9
QS breakfast at AOA, followed by rope drop for magic kingdom! ADR dinner at Be our Guest!

May 10

ADR breakfast at Hollywood and vine! DHS day with pizza planet for dinner!

May 11
Leave the world :(

many if our ADRs a new to us this year except ohana which we go before magic kingdom on every visit! I know people give H + V gripe, but my kids are dead set on eating with jake!

The one question I do have though, is which ADR should we pay out of pocket for? I was thinking kona breakfast might b the cheapest??? Also, with mm+ around the corner, I don't know if this will change any of the plans??? So how am I doing so far? Can't wait for vacation pakages for 2014 to b released to we can start te booking process!

I recently talked to a Disney travel agent he is hoping to see some early 2014 package info sometime towards the end of July!

I also agree, Earl of Sandwich is fantastic and won't break the bank. It's also nice to be able to get free refills (something you can rarely enjoy in Disney)

Chef Mickey (atleast on my last few visits) has been below-average, I would recommend crystal palace instead (if you plan on going to MK) about the same price, MUCH better food.

My DW and older son aren't too fond of Pooh and Friends, so Crystal Palace is out of the question! it was a struggle to even settle on the 1900 park fare breakfast! But I remember dining here for the character breakfast many many years ago when we stayed there for the first time when I was a kid, and I want to go back for the memories :)

Looks pretty good! Agree with previous poster that Chef Mickey's Isn't that great! Anyway, we stayed at AOA LMR last September and it was AWESOME! Also, good luck with BOG. Our 180 was on Tuesday. We had 2 phones going & a laptop & we couldn't get it for either of our MK days!:( One more thing, I would also pay oop for Kona. It is probably the cheapest meal you have.

Definitely pay out of pocket for Kona. It's very inexpensive. Be warned: the food is absolutely fantastic and it will be the best breakfast ADR you have there for the entire trip.

Do you need to use a QS at Downtown Disney? If not, go to Rainforest Cafe or T-rex. Your kids will love them and the food there is good. You can always use the extra QS to get breakfast before you leave. For MK, best QS dinner is Cosmic Rays. They have really good roast chicken there and there's a lot of options. Since you'll have an ADR for Chef Mickey's, I would do MK or the pool for the day, most likely MK so you don't have to account for travel time. Last trip on Superbowl night (no, in spite of my team being in it, I did not watch it. I had better things to do) it took an hour to get from Epcot to MK.

Make sure if you want that BOG ADR, you get it quick. This means get it right at 6 am EST when it opens up at the 180 day mark. It's very hard to get otherwise, but you won't regret it. Trust me.

Be aware that AK closes earlier than the rest of the parks. So you could get an ADR for 7:30ish for Boma, then you'll be able to stay until 6 if it closes or if it closes at 5 you can walk around AKL and look at the animals there. It's a very nice hotel to just wander around and relax. I would allot an hour for travel time to AKL just in case the bus runs late. It's been known to do that.

Also, check the menu to make sure there's something the kids will eat, but I highly recommend Teppan Edo for your Epcot day. I have never, ever had a bad meal there. It's a Japanese Steakhouse, and it's great. In fact, my bff and I are going solo in January, and we're only doing 4 ADRs the entire time, and that's one of them (Boma, BOG, and Chefs de France being the other three). The other absolutely fantastic one is Chefs de France, and they do have chicken strips on the menu for kids. But you're doing great so far! In fact, your plan is one of the best I've seen on here. Go you!
