2014 trip in the works

We are planning a trip to go to Disney in Feb of 2014. I went when I was younger, my daughter has been with her school a few times, but my husband has never been. I want this to be the trip of a lifetime for him since he has always wanted to go so I am looking for any information about Disney World. All of the research I have done shows that Feb is the time to go. That is Mardi Gras for us, so it's one of our "holidays". What are some of the "best kept secrets"? What are some things we must do? I was just recently told about the dinner theaters in Downtown Disney and that is now on our list. We will be staying for a week in order to do everything (well, everything we can). Also, any money saving ideas are welcome as well

We're planning on going early Feb 2014, too. If you wait to go around Feb 14, the hotel prices go up significantly, so that's why we're planning early Feb. Feb will be a good time to go overall. Happy planning!

I'm planning to take my family to Disney early on Feb 2014 too (from 4th to 11th). We're looking to stay at Art of Animation, but I can't find any available room from the website search. I guess reservations aren't "opened" yet. Do you know something about it?
Another question: booking from the website, can I pay by instalment (using my credit card)?

It seems that they are all booked up because other hotels are accepting reservations. However, I would call (407) 939-5277 to find more information about it. Good Luck

About reservations for 2014, I got this message from WDW Communication Center:

"For now, pricing and availability for 2014 are being offered through our Disney Reservation Center, and should be offered online over the next few months. Currently, the only way to make reservations for 2014 is to call the Disney Reservation Center. They can both provide pricing and make reservations for you."

Do you know if I can pay by instalment (using my credit card) booking from the website?

We're going 1/31-2/9. Just a warning, later in February seems to be REALLY crowded based on what others have been saying. It seems the first part (and maybe even the first week) of February is the best time to go during that time period. It seems to be right in between many school breaks.
