2011 half/full marathon trip

I was not a participant in either race but was there to cheer on my wife and her friends from Team in Training on both days.

This was both my wife and I's first trip to Disney World and it was a blast, loved seeing all of the runners over the 2 days and of course the sea of purple. Her and her friend finished in 6:27 which they were both very happy with for their first full marathon.

Two of our other friends finished the goofy (I just told them they were crazy) and I found out that one of them had the perfectly Goofy which is she has done it every year, even more crazy.

I believe we are now going to Disney Land in September for her to get her Coast to Coast medal.

Used alot of good advice from this forum for our trip, made it an amazing trip and without a doubt one of many trips to come.

What a great way to be introduced to Walt Disney World! I've been there plenty of times, but being there on race weekend this year was like seeing it in a whole new light.

Good luck to your wife in her Coast-to-Coast quest. I'm planning on running the DL half as well.
