2008 MGM ride rumor

Attraction does not necessarily mean ride... also... this could just be referring to the Block Party Bash...

You are right, I guess I assumed because it was under the Star Tours 2 part of the article. I changed the title to be more accurate.

Remember...block party bash is slated for 2007. I would keep my eye on the millionaire building or the superstar tv/sounds dangerous building.

CMs were told an E-ticket or D-ticket family ride will be in MGM for 2007 or 2008... a new show is coming for 2007... no official decision on the block party parade.. although the feeling is it will make its way to MGM... also, no word on Timekeeper... NOTHING IS PLANNED, at least nothing that is being told to people....

I'd like to know your sources for Millionaire being closed... I haven't heard anything and i'm very "familiar" with attraction....

Do you really think they may close Millionaire? It always seems popular to me.
It has seemed like Disney has been looking for an excuse to close it for quite some time now. I don't think that will happen until they greenlight a suitable replacement, though. The theater was little more than 2/3 full when I was there during spring break. I doubt the fact that they have started using the Millionaire queue for the Narnia exhibit bodes well either...

Personally, I won't lose sleep if Millionaire closes. I've seen the show, I know I won't get picked. Everytime I don't get picked, I start to pout and hope the person that did does badly. Hence why I stopped going. I will say this: I will be ed and probably kick something if they get rid of One Man's Dream. I can't watch the movie without shedding a tear (I am not exaggerating either.) If you are a true Disney freak, this attraction will make you cry and make you proud to be a Disney fan. I really hope that One Man's Dream is here to stay. If you think about it, somewhere in the park should be dedicated to just Walt. This does that, and so much more.

No, not really.

It doesn't really take a genius to see that things will start happening at the Disney Studios in the future. Just what the future may bring only Iger knows...

wow... That is a photoshop photo.

Also, along the lines of a new attraction. If there is any merit, I think the concept of the "family attraction" is key. Star Tours, IJA, etc. were always billed as Disney "thrill" attractions. Granted EE has broken the mold a bit, but I would think this might take a different track than Star Tours or IJA. Monsters, Inc., sounds plausible. Some other old things, sure. Who knows? But, I think this may have a broader base (i.e. slower) ride system.

Family ride sounds an awful lot like Monsters Inc. (although it wouldnt be an eticket naturally). Im personally hoping for Star Tours 2 though.

I would imagine the Block Party Parade will come to MGM unless someone like Lasseter pulls the plug on it.

I'm happy that it sounds like nothing is planed for Timekeeper...maybe it won't end up being another pixar ride after all.
