Wow! Those auction items are awesome! They sure are tempting. Thanks for sharing...I would not have noticed the updated info!

I haven't heard anything about our RSPs yet. Since my boyfriend submitted them, I'll have to call him to see if there is any news. But I am sure he would've told me if he had heard.

I will be there too.

I was a little shy at the begining last year but that quickly went away. One thing to mention.... they supplied us with a lanyard last year. I put most of my good pins that I was trading on it. I think I did more trading with people in line for the boards than I did anywhere else. I also met a lot of very nice people.

Laura if your a cast member and have a ID. why dont you go to company D and just get a bunch of the cheaper (2 or 3 dollar pins) there? could save you some cash and they make good traders.

OK, it is almost a week till the Pin Celebration. So far I know of 2 other WDWMagic members who will be there. Shall we plan on meeting somewhere? Is everyone going to the Pin Trading Night the evening of the registration? We could meet somewhere there! The Windy City Pin Traders group are having our group dinner at Cape May at 5:30 pm and then we will head back to the Pin Trading Night.

I will be wearing a WDWMagic button probably throughout the whole event. So unless someone else is doing the same thing, look for that button.

That is a good idea! Since I'll be at Disney U picking up my ID, I can pop into Company D and see if there are any deals. I have quite a lot of traders already. I went a little nuts during Holiday Discount time because I knew we were going to the Pin Event this year. But those are regular old rack pins, some fun cast member pins would be fun for trading.

Haha Z, maybe he did faint. We ended up getting everything that we wanted times two. He submitted one and I sumbitted one. He has been out of town for work the last two weeks and wasn't able to call to cancel the extra pins on our order. So it looks like we'll be waiting in line to return some pins even though the sheet says to try not to wait in line to return pins. Oops!

I think we'll be at the first pin trading night. We have ADRs at the Yachtsmen Steakhouse for that night, but we'll be at the event for a little while at least. I don't have a button to identify myself, but my hair does have purple highlights. So as long as no one else has purple highlights, you should be able to spot me

I am very excited for the event!!! I'm such a newbie, lol.

Oh yeah! I am going to Disneyland on Friday of this week. I hope to find some good DLR pins that I can buy and trade at the event next week. Is there anything you want me to pick up Z? If so, just shoot me an email.

Thanks for the Disneyland pin offer. I have a couple of friends who live in the LA area who go to Disneyland rather often (in fact, they'll be there this coming weekend), so I have a regular supply of Disneyland pins.

Since you have extra pins that you are going to return, maybe you could do me a favor. Do you happen to have extra pins for these two?

1. Item 52 - The pin set of Mickey around the Magic Kingdom
2. Item 44 - the superjumbo pin - Pin Traders Dream

I had extras of those that I had canceled by Aug. 24, but just my luck, one of my friends told me too late that she wanted those two items. So if we can't find someone else who has extra pins of those, we will have to request them with our 4th RSP. If you happen to have either or both of them, can we buy them from you?

It's ONE DAY before the early registration for the Pin Celebration event. Hope those of us who are attending will bump into each other. I will be wearing my WDWMagic button!

I am posting an on-going trip report for this event in this thread, if you haven't discovered it already. So far, after the 0th Day of early registration, haven't bumped into any WDWMagic members yet.

While this is still unconfirmed, the Pin Celebration for 2008 has been given the title "Pin Trading University". It will occur on Sept. 4th to 7th, 2008.

There is also a special Pin Event at Animal Kingdom next year in May. This is confirmed because one of the special prizes given to the few lucky Pin Celebration attendees this year was a free registration to that event. The registration for this event will be $150/person (ouch!).

Maybe we'll get to see more WDWMagic members there next year.
