We are headed out to WDW Sept 21-30!! We have been dragging our feet on exact dates but wanted to go during MNSSHP. We are going to sandwich the trip with the party. Yep, we are going two nights. The best thing....we just booked our airfare and for all 6 of us it is going to be about $780!!!! I *love* getting a deal!

Yahoo! We are THERE!:sohappy:

If you buy a one day base ticket with the package for each of you, you can then take that one day base ticket and apply the one day credit to the purchase of an AP. This might be worthwhile since it sounds like you haven't purchased AP's yet and are going to during this trip.

Just a quick ? for you...how did you book a ding fare for Sept when they expire in July right now?

Not sure what you mean on this? There is a free dining plan for stays in late August to end of September.

Hey! neat idea! But, can this be done on just one ticket or does it have to be for everybody's ticket in the room?

Everyone in the room must get the same type of ticket with the package, but after you get there if there are some in your party who don't want AP's you just upgrade their ticket to the number of days that they do want for the trip and upgrade the ones that do want AP's.

Also, I am booking the package for labor day weekend and getting the one day base ticket with it, but I have an AP and it just so happens that my renewal is right at that time, so I will use the credit from the base ticket against the renewal of my AP. So I don't lose out, it's awesome. However, you do have to do this in person at a guest services window.

Oh thank you for the details. I'd have to talk it over with my dh about getting 2 hotel rooms. The problem is with my oldest's disability. It really is best that we are all together. Right now I am looking at booking off site for a 2 bedroom villa at around $95 a night. We are going to purchase Annual Passes (we like to go about 3 times a year and the passes would more than pay for it). I'm just not sure if the savings on the food is enough. :(

But we are looking at all angles right now. It is our way of planning. We always look at every way of doing it. Financially, of course but then also because of the special accomodations we have to have for our son.

I'll let you know! Thank you SO MUCH! And, JimboJones123 too!!

no prob- got a break at work, If you do AP -- be sure you get the Dining Experience card. It can save you big bucks after 2-3 meals.

Origianal poster said she got a "ding" fare from Southwest for Sept., but they don't offer 'ding' fares going past July 31 right now.

SW is booking through October right now, and occasionally Ding fares go to the end of the booking period.

Just got it yesterday. Normally ding is for just about a month sometimes two out. This one just came up so we snatched it. This is about the same time it came up last year and we got it for about the same price.
