Does anyone know what the theme for 2003 will be? When will the 100 year celebration end? Curious minds wanting to know. I'm also traveling to wdw in January.

The proposed date is March 2003 or is it May 2003. Lets just say Spring 2003.

I smell something fishy...did they delay the opening on purpose to meet Mission:Space's date? Anybody can confirm this? Because, that's a year's delay! It would be a smart move to open a (new) hotal along with a (longly anticipated, new) ride. Hmmmmmm....

Hey now, I really liked the 100 years of magic celebration. Just the idea that Disney is recognizing this I think is cool. It was just a coincidence that Walt Disney's 100 birthday came right after the 2000 celebration. I guess I can understand that celebrations can get tiring after a while if you work there, though. From a yearly visitor's point of view, however, I liked the celebration a lot, including the Parades at the Studios and the Magic Kingdom, and the Walt Disney show at the Studios. They probably could have added more to celebrate, though.

No it was delayed because of 9-11. Disney would not delay it because everyday the resort is closed is more money Disney is loosing.

oh no doubt they will keep the MK parade. They kept the 25th one for long enough. I hope they get rid of ToD and motorcars

I like ToD. My son loved it at 9 months old. Maybe that reflects on my maturity level that I like the same things as my son. The next celebration will probably start 10/06 for the 35th anniversary.
