20 Nights of Candlelight Ceremony and Processional

This year DL will be presenting the famous Candlelight Ceremony and Processional with 2 shows nightly from Dec 1-20. See the Disney Parks Blog for more details.

This holiday season – for the first time in its history – the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional is being extended to a total of 20 nights at Disneyland park, with two performances each night. The first two nights, December 1-2, will be invitation-only events; however, performances from December 3-20 will be open to Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders and guests booking special, to-be-announced dining packages for the 2012 holiday season.

Unlike Epcot's for Disneyland Candlelight was only held on one weekend for a total of 4 shows(2 shows a night). I'm very happy to see this will be performed more than one weekend, I do hope it's performed at Town Square for all the performances.

Here's a look at the 2011 performance. The processional down a darkened Main Street is just something that can't be beat.

UPDATE 8/21/12: There will be no cost for registered Annual Passholders to attend the Candlelight Ceremony and Processional. Registration details will be available soon.
A limited number of dining packages will also be available and will include reserved seating for selected performances – details and costs for these packages will be announced at a later date.

I really hope they get some good narrators, Epcot seems to have some good ones this year. I would pay good money if Dick Van hosted again.

This is a Guest Control nightmare. Lovely show, though. You can't beat the choir singing down Main Street.

These went up back in Sept, but a different set of light towers went up I'm guessing they get use during the Halloween Parties and will be used again for Candlelight.
