20,000 leagues????

What have they done with the Old 20,000 leagues Ride? Looking at the Map the only thing I can see in that area is Ariels Grotto? Thanks

The attraction was closed on September 5 1994 for renovation and never reopened. It's permanent closure was announced in 1996. Demolition of the lagoon began in 2004.

you might be looking at an old satellite photo/map if you see Ariels Grotto.

Nnothing but grassy pooh now.

It is now occupied by the Grotto and Poohs playground I used to like that ride and it seems a shame to have the spot be wasted in the way that it is currently is. There needs to be a new ride built!

The fairies have already gone into the circus tents in toontown. The rumor is that this area will house a new E-ticket sometime in the next 10 years (last rumor was the 7 Dwarves mine coaster). I definitely can't stand to not see 20k there though. That was one of my favorite rides. Even if you didn't ride it, just the beautiful lagoon and the kinetics by the subs moving around made it worth being there. If there was one change that I could undo from all of WDW history, removing this ride would be it.
