2 Spectaculars in One Night.

So in the past couple of months of rather silly conversation and late nights...tthis new thought has been bogging around constantly in my mind "wouldn't it be interesting to see if one could do Two Nighttime Spectaculars of Two different Parks in one night?"

Earlier this month, when a group of friends and I went to DisneyWorld...We noticed that Fantasmic's first showing was at 8 o'clock...and furthermore saw that the Wishes fireworks spectacular at Magic Kingdom started at 10 o'clock.

Now...we never really thought it could be possible before, atleast i didn't...i would talk (to a girl who just so happened to also go that day with us. She is the only one of them who's actually so addicted to WDW as much as i am) about it frequently, and how amazing it would be to do so, two spectaculars in one night that is. But no more than just talk about it. Never thinking it was possible, never bothering to try.

Until It really hit us that night...when Fantasmic ended, and all was over with, and we noticed that it was just about 9:15 when we hit that turnstyle out of MGM, not wanting to end the magic just quite... we started sprinting towards the Car, all out of nowhere, drilled by this adrenaline that maybe, juuuust maybe we could make it?

and we got to the turnstyle at about 10:01....the fireworks began just when the express monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center arived at the Magic Kingdom and opened it's doors...and we BOLTED to the entrance. Heh, sadly... they closed the Turnstyles by then. Technically... we saw the show, but trying to look around the train station, and outside of the park.

WE WERE SO CLOSE! Haha, but the point of the story i guess was...that what i thought was impossible...sliiiiightly seemed, that with a bit of planning, heh, making sure everybody's wearing comfortable sneakers...and lots and lots and LOTS of Pixie dust, I'm actually beginning to think that it's much more possible than i used to think. *stand up straight* And so help me, I gotsta do it one day!

But i wanna propose the question though. Has anybody ever done it? Or tried to? Or even thought about doing so? Did you succeed? Two closing spectacular shows of two different parks in one night, atleast once. It'd be amazing.

If it had been a 10:00 Illuminations instead of Wishes, you would have been all set. Damn TTC can really get in the way sometimes if you're in a hurry.

hmm

I dont know if this counts but when I go for july 4th weekend i will be seeing the july 4th fireworks at MGM and fantasmic(hope I have that spelled right).

We are eating at the restaurant that gives us vip seats in mgm for fantasmic july 4th. That night fantasmic is at 10pm and the july 4th fireworks in the ppark are at 9pm.

I've done it! Once. I hadn't planned on it. I was in the MK, and watched Wishes at 8 from the train station platform, I left the park and jumped on the monorail. As we were approaching the TTC, I saw an Epcot monorail just pulling in. I looked at my watch and thought, "hmm, I wonder if I could make it over to see Illuminations?" I jumped on the Epcot monorail, walked REALLY fast into the park, and just got to the bridge between FW and WS when it started. I was totally out of breath, but it was kinda cool to see both in one night. And I really lucked out, too, with the timing of the monorails and everything. But it was neat.

I've done it all the time. You can get in Reflections of Earth at Epcot and make it to the MK with plenty of time to spare for Wishes and then Spectro. Only thing is you have to be able to make your way rather fast out of Epcot to the Monorail - and if you do you should have no problems. Of course we didn't "run" but we were walking rather fast. We even make it to about the middle of Main Street before Wishes starts with time to spare.

Of course you can only do it if it's a 9PM ROE, 10PM Wishes and 11PM Spectro...but yeah...I've done it plenty.

This route is a bit easier, I have to say, as it's all Monorail...

Bus from MGM to Epcot or MK is a bit more time consuming or Vice Versa...
But then, there is always your own car...and it's really no more time consuming than the bus is (if you can make it out before the crowds).
