2 parks in one day FastPass+ decisions

Hi all-
So a good friend of mine and I are going on a short trip to WDW in early February. We have decided to go to Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios in the same day (we both have been to both parks enough to have a few favorites at each one, plus seeing what's new; for us this is Avatar and Toy Story Land). We also decided to go to AK in the morning and HS in the afternoon/evening.
That being said, what's the best FastPass+ route that we should take? We currently are thinking of making them for the ones we want at HS for later in the day, and to just get to AK early to hit our favorites there (and going to the Avatar rides first!). I know another thought is to make FastPass + reservations for AK early, then try to make them for the HS attractions later. However, I worry about not being able to get any FastPass +'s for the attractions we really want to do (especially the Toy Story ones). I know we could wait in line for these instead, but I'm thinking the lines will be much longer for Toy Story Mania, Slinky Dog Dash, etc.) in the late afternoon than the Avatar rides, Kilimanjaro Safaris, etc.
Thoughts? Suggestions? I'm open to it all! Thanks!! : ):)

I like your idea of getting HS ones later in the day since you are pretty much guaranteed to wait in long lines by that point in the day. I would aim to Rope Drop at AK and get to Pandora 1st and hop on those rides while they lines is less than 2 hours. Since Toy Story is newer there are most likely longer lines for those rides, but I haven't checked on that yet.

Bear in mind that all 3 Toy Story Land attractions are Tier 1, meaning only one FP for one of those rides.
That's true but it seems that since Toy Story Mania added that third track a few years ago it does a better job of handling crowds. And no offense if anyone likes it but it seems like the Alien Swirling Saucers attraction is very reminiscent of a midway ride you can find at a decent local or state fair. Slinky Dog Dash is the attraction you're going to want a FP for...

But it seems like Slinky Dog Dash is also a harder FP to get. Flight of Passage? I can only speak anecdotally but at my 60 day window there were no FPs available. Then about 2 weeks after that, there were suddenly available. But I'm not talking one FP, there were multiple, MULTIPLE times available. I suspect they readjusted the ratio of FP to standby guests. So it might be easier to get FPs for Flight of Passage.

So I'd suggest flipping it and making DHS the first park you hit, then go to AK in the afternoon/evening and try to get FPs for FoP. Then also get FPs for the Safari, hopefully late enough in the afternoon that it's cooled off a bit and the animals are back out and about. Book a meal at Tiffins or Tusker House that includes "reserved seating" for Rivers of Light. But use the morning to hit Toy Story Land and your must-dos in DHS without a FP.

I’ll Echo this, especially if you’re staying onsite.

I’ve seen lots of reports saying people were able to do all 3 TSL rides pretty much before the end of EMH right now.

I realise EMH won’t last for ever, but if you do have EMH to help i think it would be the better way round.

Otherwise you’ll still want to be at AK an hour before opening, to be able to ride FoP without too much of a wait.

So I'm going to go with your option. Unless you go Presidents day weekend, February may get you lighter crowds also. I'd hit Ak first and schedule my fast passes for HS.
