Pre-Trip 2 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandmas 1 condo

Alright, alright, alright!

I am shout it from the rooftops, dancing in public, maybe even wet my pants excited about my upcoming trip!

Why? Well, we're going to flippin' Disney World! So there's that. AND we're bringing my mommy on her very first trip to Disney World!

This will only be trip #2 for me and my two little crazy people, #15 or so for my hubbo & #I-can't-count-that-high for my MIL

The Who:
2 kids
Gwen (7) & Ethan (alllmost 5)
2 parents
Me of course. I'm Ali (rhymes with Sally) & my too-good-to-be-true husband Jim
2 grandmas
My mom, aka Grammy
His mom, aka Mutie

Where:
2 bedroom condo at Blue Heron Breach Resort.
For as much as I wanted to stay on property, I couldn't justify the cost.
This trip is a gift to the grandmas & we couldn't afford accommodations for 6 at Disney rates. We're getting two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two balconies, a kitchen and laundry in unit for the price of a value. Decision made itself

When:
April 29th - May 6th

I'm hoping to blow my families collective mind on this trip, so wish me luck!

The Plans:

Travel day. Mutie will fly down early in the afternoon, check-in at the resort, pick up the van we're renting and swing back to the airport to get the rest of us around midnight! Eeewwwwww!
That's right, we're flying out of ORD at 8:30pm, which lands us at MCO at an hour my kids have seldom seen.

April 30th
Pick up groceries etc in the morning, Epcot in the afternoon!
The big event of the day will be Divequest! My husband is scuba certified & it's super pumped to do this

May 1st

May 2nd

8:55pm ADR @ Be Our Guest
I'm hoping to change this to a more reasonable time, but no lick yet

May 3rd
Down day

May 4th

54 long days to go & Chicago is unreasonable cold... time to make a Disney priority list!

Magic Kingdom
1. Nutella waffle sandwich
2. Meet Gaston--I'd love to charm him into picking me up!
3. Festival of Fantasy parade--I'm not even big on parades, but this one looks awesome
4. Use the Rapunzel potty

Epcot
1. Cronut
2. English Tea Garden
3. Pick-a-pearl
4. Bonsai garden
5. Special macaron of the moment in France
6. Buy all the baguettes

I'm easy to please!
Of course everyone in my family will have their own list. I'll let you know if they have anything interesting to add :)

Your husband will love Divequest. My husband and a close friend did it.

What a great shot!
He is the type of guy who never does anything for himself, so I was thrilled when his mom suggested itand he agreed!
The kids have requested a scuba-five through the glass ;-)

I hear Mickey dives sometimes. Did your husband get to dive with the mouse?

I visited with my family last summer and we had many of the same priorities! Loved the Nutella waffles at MK and the cronut at Epcot was amazing! My family made fun of me for wanting to visit the Rapunzel potty, but they all agreed it was the nicest potty area ever!

No mouse :/ but it was really neat. Here is a picture of the boys looking at him.

If Disney is a sundae, then BOG is the cherry...
or maybe entering MK before opening is the cherry...

Either way, we've got a cherry on top people!

I scored 8:05am breakfast at BOG!!!
Whooooop!

I can't even imagine the magic and stillness of a nearly-empty Main Street & Fantasyland! Don't forget, THIS will be the way Grammy will experience MK for the first time! LUCKYYYY!

I know this will be a very spendy counter service breakfast, but getting a jump on the rope-drop crowd to meet Anna & Elsa (I've got a 7y/o girl people) makes it worth it!

Still 12 day's away from FP+ booking, but I kinda don't care ;-)
These two things locked-down... The rest is sprinkles!

Ugh! I am so bummed!

I just noticed today that MK will be opening at 8am next Saturday.
This really takes the wind out of my sails.
I thought I was so slick :-(
We were gonna be in before opening, enjoy the splendor of BOG and get in line to meet A&E before things got crazy.
No more.

They're opening up shop early and dashing my hopes.
The hard-core moms will already be meeting & greeting while I'll be trying to swallow my breakfast whole.
I really could not care less about meeting these ladies, but my daughter digs them. What's a mom to do?
