I was thinking of going to the parks the 1st - 3rd of November (for my bday! ) but one site says the crowds will be at a 7 those days and most other sites say that time of year has the lowest attendance. Does anyone know if it is busy that week?

It will be VERY busy that week! Myself, and all other families with school-aged children from New Jersey will be there--our schools are closed 4,5,6 for a Teacher's convention, so we just take our kids out on the 2,3 and go to Disney. It's called "Jersey Week". I know of 22 families from my town going that week alone. A few years back, when Soarin' was new, we were in Disney for 8 days and did NOT get on the ride--it was always 120 minute wait, FASTPASS sold out by 11 am. Same thing last year with Toy Story Mania. The bus drivers always tell me "You should have been here LAST week--it was really slow".:zipit:

As a teacher, I will be there with my DH the 5th - 8th. This is our first experience with "Jersey Week" and the only reason we are going is because of the food and wine festival. That is the last weekend. I'm not too worried about seeing everything, simply because we are going back in January for my birthday.

Most every site lists this period as the "slow" period... but trip reports say that this year has been unusually busy throughout september and october so far.

I'm hoping its not too bad, since I'll be going from Oct 31 - Nov 4.

We usually go during Jersey Week every year and this year is no exception (Oct 31-Nov. 8). From past experiences the crowds have not been that bad with most of the rides being about a 10-15 minute wait time. However the big rides are a little longer:

SM-30-45min
Splash Mountain-30-45min
Soarin'-45-85(yep seen it get that high)
Toy Story Ride - 30-40min
Peter Pan-45-60min
Big Thunder Mountain - 25-45min
ToT - 13 (love this wait time) - 35min
Rockin Roller Coaster - 35-60min
Test Track - 35-60min
JII - no wait, go figure.
Expedition Everest - 30-60min

The range depends on time of day and day of the week. Early mornings are always the lowest wait times it seems.

Thanks for the info. I had no idea that the week I chose to go happened to be "Jersey Week" ... oh well. My wife can't go on the big thrill rides anyway... single rider/fast pass for me :)

Being from NJ, I wait until the weekend that everyone from here is leaving before going. We always know too many people going the week before - plus airfare is tripled for Jersey Week. I paid $159 RT this year for the Sat to Thurs after, and to go the week before it was about $500.
