I actually never saw it in person. There were a few years there were I didn't go to WDW at all because the guy I was seeing at the time was very anti-Disney. (One of MANY reasons he was NOT the guy for me! LOL) So while I appreciate the idea but think it looked terribly garish in pictures, I can't truly vote.

Gotta say We loved it, yes I know I may be in the small crazy group but we did !!! I think well for number one we were there for our honeymoon( and you know how honeymooners are, everything is all lovey dovey and the world is all shiny and all that stuff, althought wait after 16yrs we're still like that, lol)) and so to us in a way Disney having the castle as a cake for their 25th and us celebrating getting married was fitting and in Disney...Funny Cause I often said that when we do reknew our vows for our 25th , which we already said will be in Disney ,do you think they can do a a castle cake like the one for their 25th? Probably for a small crazy fee!!! I think also the castle did'nt bother us being all caked up was beacuse we knew it was'nt permenant, that the following yr it would be back to normal by the time we went..I feel for the people who dont go all the time and that was the visit they chose to go , yeah I can see how there might be some dislike...but yeah we liked it!!

The best part was I was there as they began the transformation and were painting the castle pink. The common story from CMs at the time was that Barbie has bought it and was making it her "Dream Castle".

I went back while it was completed as a cake. I hated it but at the same time appreciated the scale of the project.

I never saw it in person, just in pictures but I thought it was cool. I'm not that much of a purist, I guess. I liked the wand on Spaceship Earth, too. I like change and try to embrace it. I mean both props were temporary and meant as a celebration, why not love it, especially knowing it's only temporary?

I loved it, my first trip ever was during the 25th Anniversary. One of the few memories that I can recall from my first trip was me wanting to stop and eat the giant cake. "No Summer, you can't eat the castle. C'mon, let's go to Fantasyland." "Can I just taste the frosting?" I really thought it was real! :p

I loved it. It was something different and weird, and wild and sweetly fantastical...and it looked better in person.

I also loved that it was temporary.

I thought it was a cool idea, didn't really like what it did to the looks of the castle, especially down mainstreet, but I liked that they tried.

At the time when we went that year, I was very young so of course as a kid, I thought it was so cool. But looking back on the pictures, it just looks cheesy but the times always change and what was once very cool back then is not the same at the present time.. that goes for a lot of things in general. I voted Tolerated it because I knew it wasn't going to look like that forever.. thankfully! :p

I think it was brilliant!

I do very much dread saying I appreciate temporary overlays like this, to prevent disasters such as the Wand and the Hat from Hell. Temporary, Disney, learn the art of temporary. Budget in an amount for removal.
