Though, Dream Factory's initial premise reminds me of Journey into Imagination 2.0: "Someone in the factory doesn't have dreams, and we have to fix that (in order for everything to work)!"

I've gotta say, I was amazed when Luke showed up. Especially when they mirrored the Vader scene from Rogue One.
Then R2 showed up. Then the man of the hour Bib Fortuna showed up OUT OF NOWHERE and he said "maclunkey." Then Boba Fett. I am absolutely stunned and indescribably excited for Season 3.
All in all I'd say that this was a pretty solid episode of The Mandalorian.

I can't believe all of that just happened. I cant't wait for Mando Season 3, and apparently the Book of Boba? Is that another new show? It's just insane! It was just so so so good. I can't believe it, and I was literally screaming at my screen.

That produced a reaction from me that no movie/TV show has in recent memory

At first I saw the x-wing and was so invested in the lower-powered characters that I thought it was the Dave Filoni pilot maybe bringing a New Republic squadron. Then it didn't respond when it landed and I went.....oh... this isn't happening

Then the hooded figure and I'm like...don't tease me. Then the black glove/green lightsaber....I couldn't believe what I was seeing.

And then even though we've seen him so many times the one-two gut punch of R2D2 rolling up got to me good. What an ending.

Finally Boba sitting on Jabba's throne makes me very excited for where that is going.

I still haven’t wrapped my head around everything that just happened. My mind is blown. I had a thought that Luke could come back but due to the way this season was bringing animated characters into live-action Ezra was my top guess. Boy was I wrong. Right when I saw the X-Wing my heart started racing. The last 10 minutes of this episode made me an emotional wreck.

It didn’t help that there was a goodbye between Din and Grogu. I can see why they decided to end the Grogu story, but hopefully we get to see him in the future.

As for the Book of Boba, I think it will be the beginning of S3. Maybe the first 2-3 episodes will be all about Boba and Fennec right after the end of S2. Then they will lead into the main storyline of trying to earn back Mandalore (a total guess) with Bo-Katan, Din, etc.

Overall, I am pleased. And yes, I teared up a bit.

I wonder who had prime Luke Skywalker flying in on his X-wing to wreck a platoon of dark troopers in order to train Grogu with Boba Fett the Boss of the Criminal Underworld on their 2020 bingo card 😅

I didn't watch the end credit scene my first go around (I didn't know it was there) and I totally thought this was just a weird post, but no. Bib Fortuna shows up and says Maclunkey. Did that singlehandedly save 2020?
