So Brad Bird has a secret project that was written by Damon Lindelof and is set to star George Clooney. Brad tweeted out a pic of a secret box of things hinting what the movie is about. And there photos of Walt Disney in there, anyone have any ideas what they could be shooting?

OK- Walt Disney in 1952 was planning Disneyland. The D.C. area was getting buzzed by UFO's in the same year and time (July). WED was also founded in 1952.
In the case is a copy of Amazing Stories with a cover related to Buck Rogers and the object under the Technicolor box appears to be a nozzle for some kind of propulsion device. And now there's a book about Moral Research too.

Conclusion: Some movie about UFO's with Disney being used via WED to research something related to those UFO's or spaceflight. Disneyland is created as a front to the whole operation so the population won't panic as it'll be seen as "those amazing people at Disney researching Tomorrowland". A few years later, as Disney and Ward Kimball (a big UFO enthusiast) are about to reveal the existence of UFO"s and ET's to the public via the never completed fourth episode of their "Man in Space" series of TV shows, the government pulls the plug.
Plausible? Heck no. But I'd watch it. Beats "Pirates 6- Capt. Jack meets Ben Gates".

The mystery surrounding this certainly has my interest level up to want to see it. I am a fan of Lindelof and Brad Bird,so heres hoping its worth the intrigue.

Correction: The book in the box is called "Model Research" and it is a government printed book about early NASA history. Fits right in with the timeframe.

There was some talk on another website that it'll be about the 1952 UFO incident over Washington DC, one of the most widely-seen UFO sightings in history, and the resulting Project Blue Book, which was the official start of the government's examinations/coverups of UFO sightings.

Knowing Brad Bird and his love for Cold War-era sci-fi, this seems highly likely. Not sure where the Walt Disney connection comes in though...

Isn't that article from 2009? I'd think that the new Tomorrowland probably has nothing to do with that previous version. Or am I reading that wrong?

Edit: I re-read, and know what you were saying. I believe that Bird's "Tomorrowland" is a totally different movie, and has nothing to do with any previous versions.
