hi am thinking of renting a villa up near old town. both times i have been before 2001 and 2006 there was hevey road works on the 192 can anybody tell me if thats still the same.

I didn't really drive through that area much on my visit back in December, but I did drive over there once to the Mobil station on 192 near Celebration, and I don't recall there being any construction along 192 near I-4.

I was there in January and didn't see any construction going on 192 down past oldtown(coming from SR 27)

I think the regeneration of the 192 is now complete

I stayed off of 192 for a week back in April and it would appear that the major construction is finished. Traffic can still get pretty congested due to numerous stop lights but there are a few workarounds and back entrances to WDW property depending on where you are on 192.

This past January we saw virtually no traffic on 192, west of I-4 on the way to WDW proper.
