Okay, I am less than one week away from our trip! We have only gone 1 day in over 2yrs since we moved to the new base. I am excited! We check in on the 16th. I also want to make this a trip of firsts. The goal for this trip is to not do "the usual." One new thing we are trying is ADRs. Yeah, I know. How in the WORLD have we gone so much and NOT done ADRs. lol.

We have ressies for breakfast at 1900 Park Fare for Friday and Sci Fi Dine In for Saturday evening. Here's my question. How much do these actually cost? I can't seem to get a straight answer from the ADR people or the internet. How much did you spend? We are travelling with 4 adults and 3 young kids.

Thanks!!

In my opinion SciFi was a bit overpriced. Cant remember the exact price as we used the dining plan however it's definitely more of the atmosphere there than the food. The atmosphere was great and our server was AMAZING!

I don't know about over priced, I really like eating at scifi....but I agree the atmosphere is more impressive than the food. :P

I think my husband and I dropped about $50 on lunch at Sci-Fi - an appetizer (onion rings - the best part of the meal!), and two entrees. We did dinner at 1900 Park Fare, but we were on the dining plan, so I don't remember how it much it actually would have cost. Have a GREAT trip!!

For our family of 4 it was $110-$120 before the tip. This was using the DDP and ordering an app, soft drink, entree and dessert for each person (would not have ordered more than two apps or desserts if we were not on the DDP).

How is the deluxe dining plan? I've always ordered the normal one with 1QS 1TS and 1 snack but was wondering if the DDP was worth it?

DDP:3 Meals* per day, & 3 snacks per day ----Each DDP Meal consists of 1 each App, entree, drink, and dessert
*DDP says meal, which means QS or TS.
DP: Specifies** 1 TS meal, 1 QS meal, 1 snack per day ----- Each DP Meal consists of 1 each Entree, drink, and dessert.
(DP Does not include the app)
**DP doesn't have to let you redeem a TS meal for a QS meal, meaning you have to use TS credit for TS meals(they can't be used for QS meals), DDP does not differentiate.

Link to DDP http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/me...altDisneyWorld/en_us/PDF/2013DeluxeDining.pdf

Edit--Also, the DDP is a boatload of food that will require spending a large amount of time dining....consider using TS credits for Sigs (2 TS Credits)!!

The deluxe plan is totally worth it IF (and only if) you want to eat at a large number of signatures. They eat up two credits and you really do get your money's worth that way. We love the signatures so much that when we return I'm seriously considering the Deluxe plan even though it is a TON of food. It seems as though Disney's food prices just keep going up into the stratosphere and it seems that with the dining plans you at least break even, possibly with more food. I know it means a lot of time spent dining (although, not really, as you're only talking about spending a lot of time once per day if you do a signature), but if great meals are your thing, its something worth looking into.

I loved it. I ate a TS breakfast or early lunch and a signature restaurant each night. I tried a ton of great food, received wonderful service, and relaxed in the air conditioning while I ate.

scifi was fun to eat at, but I agree, it may have been the worst table service food I have had in WDW. Doesnt mean I wouldnt go again though. Ive also had bad experiences at other places only to have great ones later!!! All in all, its a neat place to try.
