Haven't seen them all, but I'll take a guess at nominees and winner:

The Adventures of Tintin
Cars 2
Kung Fu Panda 2
Puss in Boots
Winnie the Pooh

Not the best year for animation...

Rango all the way!!!!!

That was by far one of the best films I've seen this year and deserves to win. I can't think of another animated film that was on par.

Hmmm....I agree not a great year for animation in general, but some of these I have not seen. I'll go out on a limb here though with my list...do they select 3 or 5? I thought they only chose 3 last year, but anywho...

Cars 2
Puss in Boots
Rango
A Cat in Paris
Alois Nebel

I've only seen cars out of this list that I made, but I know enough about Rango and Puss in Boots that I would include them. I've watched clips from A Cat in Paris and Alois Nebel and can definitely say that I like both of their overall looks. You've gotta watch out for the the foreign animated features when the American offereings aren't knock your socks off amazing.

The Alois Nebel is bit more serious and Sin-Cityish than the other 4 on this list. It may be that type of difference that pushes it over the top.

I could also see Happy Feet 2 and Kung Fu Panda 2 making the final cut. Didn't and won't see Happy Feet 2, but I thought Kung Fu Panda 2 was pretty good, not as good as the original, but still pretty good.
