Can that be true? Goodness, I don't want to tell Disney how to spend their money but they really spent 150 million on a somewhat low capacity dark ride? That seems wildly inefficient to me but, of course, its not my money. How much would the Little Mermaid dark ride once proposed for DLP cost? Don't mean to obsess over this but I'm kind of a "bang for your buck" type guy.

have you been on the ride? It's incredible. Well worth the money. It cost 50% more than Everest, and, if I may say so, it has much better theming and a seemless story.

I have not. If you started from scratch, couldn't you build like 2 incredible dark rides that would each have a much better ride capacity for that kind of money. It may be an incredible ride but for that price, it better be.

Based on the expected attendence boost for DL, I'd say its going to end up being worth the money for Disney. It should have the park packed for the rest of the summer.

I'm not sure of the exact amount, but it could be true.

Disney did use some of the existing things, but a lot was new (the Audio Animatronics, new projections, etc...) plus I heard there was a plumbing problem, so they had to drain the entire pool, fix the problem, and fill it up again, so it might have all added up.
