Hi all...

I will be arriving in WDW on the 1st September, and while it's a little way off yet, i'm already so excited that i'm spending every spare moment planning what i'm going to do to make the most of it. I'm staying 14 days / nights in the All-Stars Movies resort. However there is so much to do - I can't decided what to do on which days, or when it's best to visit a certain park etc. So I wondered if you all want to help out and give some tips?

Help for all the parks would be cool, MK, Epcot, MGM, AK... as well as TL, BB, DTD, PI etc. Also I plan to visit Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. So what should I do when?!?

Thanx! :sohappy:

Wow, 14 days! Stop it, you're making me jealous! :D
I could do sooo much with 14 days, so here's what I would do.

Day 1: Go to MGM Studios because its probably my favorite park.. spend the whole day there. Make sure I eat at the Sci-Fi Drive In and see the Fantasmic! show at the end of the day.

Day 2: Go to the Magic Kingdom and ride everything imaginable.. some things twice.

Day 3: Go to Epcot and see and do everything.

Day 4: Take a day off from the parks and go to Kissimmee which is a 5 minute drive away. Drive down the strip and visit all the cheesy Florida souvenir shops that you can! Don't forget the World's Largest Orange! Be sure to pick up cheesy gifts for all relatives that would think it was funny. Play mini-golf at the Congo River Mini-golf course, feed the baby alligators there, and ride the paddle boats. Then go back to the hotel room at night and order a Pizza from room service and orange sodas. Walk around the resort afterward, all of them are so pretty.

Day 5: Go to Animal Kingdom and ride... pretty much everything. Ride Dinosaur about 5 times, its great. Ride the Kali River Rapids, remember not to wear white. Animal Kingdom is only half a day's worth, so in the afternoon go to downtown Disney and enjoy the Marketplace, then spend the late evening at Pleasure Island.

Day 6: Go to Universal Studios,ride... most of the rides. Again this is only a half day park, so in the afternoon go to Universal Studios: Islands of Adventure, ride mostly everything.

Day 7: Bum around the resort a little bit, swim in the pool, walk around, have a spa treatment, etc.. Go to Downtown Disney again at night.

Day 8 - 14; Rinse and repeat!

Have fun!!!

EchoOfOphelia - a nice itinerary BUT - you missed out both of the water parks and Busch Gardens :p
14 days is really only a short time to "do" Orlando - especially when you come from the UK and you're lucky to get back once a year - its ssssoooooooo expensive.
We will be doing AK once, EPCOT twice, MGM twice, MK three times, SeaWorld twice, Discovery Cove once, USF/IOA once, and a days shopping around the malls.
Then we're going home for a rest !!!

OK HERE WE GO!

Its always good to have a set plan...but WAIT...it may rain on the day you want to go to IOA...or to cold for a water park....
what I do..is find out what everyone wants to do..eat..see..and do first..I then work from there....

I say plan at least 2 days at MGM AND MK...although with low crowds...you shouldn't have a problem with ride access...
4 days right there....only 10 to go...
You'll most likely spend 2 0r more days at IOA....especially if your a thrill seeker...
2 more days gone...
Then factor in the Water Parks...
2 more days....
then SW and US...
2 more days...maybe more...I LOVE SW
A day at EPCOT AND AK!! with no crowds..u'll be done with both in a day...
2 days...(one for each if you may)
and one day for Busch Gardens...BIG ROLLERCOASTER PARK...
1 day...
and finally one resort and leisure day..
1 day
And like BAM you 14 day trip is gone...

No matter what day you go...except maybe on weekends...I doubt the parks are going to be crowded....SO DON'T RUSH!
I dunno what passes you have...but definatley make an extra trip or to IOA and SW...theres just so much to see...

***Alternate disney days and off-property days...that way there is diversity***

AND REMEMBER!!! Its a vacation....don't be runnin' 24/7....it wil make you vacation go by so much quicker....

 I didn't forget anything! He asked what I would do with 14 days and I told him! That's what I would do! I don't care for the water parks all that much, but I do occasionally go. And I don't like Busch Gardens, but thanks!

Wow, thanks for that - it's given me plenty to think about!

Do you really think I could do AK and Epcot in one day? Last time I went was just when AK had opened and it was packed, we spent most of the day there because the queues where so big! I was planning to spend a day at Epcot, the morning in FW and the afternoon in the WS.

Also are there certain days I should avoid for certain parks? For example, I hear Monday's & Thursday's are pretty hectic in MK?

Hey aren't you going to Cape Canaveral?? They do a cool tour.

Mears transportation can take you to Universal if you don't have a car, nice ride pick up right at the disney hotels.

AK one day is ok. But Epcot if your stopping to drink two days for sure!!!

You may need to adjust as you go. Like Sea World is awful if it rains since almost all the shows are outside.

If you go to Kissimmee, there ia an awsome italian resturant called Forcheta's. It is a family owned place. One of the main things I miss the most about moving.

Have a great time!!!!!!!!!!

Animal Kingdom

To say this park is 1/2 day flaws me. If you don't go to shows, do the trails, look at the animals and read some of the information. Don't go to Petting Zoo then maybe it's 1/2 day. If you go to only go on rides, it's 1/2 day but if you go to take in the whole thing......it's a full day. Also, IOA only took a day but we went when it was empty. Also, Universal Studios only takes a day also. I would definlty, go to Downtown Disney, If you could afford it go to theCirque de Salae show, it's excellent. Take a tour, we did the 7 hour one, (not sure of the name) and loved it. Also, take a day to go around the whole World, we call it hotel hopping. We enjoy looking at the other hotels and what's in them. Go to a restaurant in one of them also. Visit the Hoop de doo show, I could go on and on. Our trips, we could use three weeks!!!!!!!!
