I don't get it. You want to be at WDW for 7 days on November 14, 15, 16, 17, 18,19, 20. So you book a 14 day trip for Nov. 7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20 (which you will cancel the first half.) So you book 180 days in advance of Nov. 7 for up to 10 days after arrival. How is this helpful? You haven't booked half of your actual trip?Here's how it works:
You want a 7 day trip beginning November 14. To be able to book your ADR's before everyone else you book your trip beginning November 7 for 14 days. That way you get to book your ADR's 180 plus 7 extra days ahead of your arrival date. In theory you should be able to make more ADR's at more preferred times.
Never done it, but I know plenty who have.
As others -and I - have said, it's a lot if work for the 'theory' or idea that this will allow you to make ADRs at better times since most people wanting to make ADRs for (this theoretical trip) November 14,15, & 16 won't be eligible to book until a few days later.I don't get it. What 90 day open to the public ADR window??? There is no such thing! If u don't have an actual resort reservation, u can still book dining at 180 days out. U just aren't able to do the 10 plus days. In reality, I assume it is much, much more complicated than that so I've never tried it. (Being honest, most of our trips are spur of the moment now anyway, so we are 100% ADR free!). It's just a way people try to work the system. Too much work & thought. (By the way, I assume you can't cancel the 'extra' days until the 90 day open to the public ADR window I would assume???
