10 year “anniversary” question

Alrighty I’m just gonna throw this out there. My wife and I went to Magic Kingdom for our honeymoon in December 2007. I know that’s not a big deal to the super Disney parks fans out there on this site who probably frequently visited the parks before and after marriage but for us it was a big deal and awesome! We each always wanted to have a honeymoon at Disney ever since our childhoods and that became a reality for us. (Funny side note is that we were SO inexperienced that we didn’t know that with our base tickets we could have opted to visit the other Disney parks such as Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom too, so when we weren’t newlyweds at the hotel we spent 5 days just in Magical Kingdom. A couple years later online I realized we even had the option to visit the other parks and didn’t take advantage of it, lol). One killer thing about going to Magic Kingdom for our honeymoon is that we were given “Just Married” buttons and not only was everyone incredibly awesome in acknowledging us but many Cast Members also treated us like royalty, occasionally giving us little extras (I think we were given a paper fastpasses on one occasion, a free dessert on another, etc.) or just being extra nice, which was incredible and unexpected (like I said, we haven’t had all the economic resources to attend frequently and we’re not Disney park pros).

Now 3 kids later we decided that we’d plan our 10 year anniversary back at the place where it all started. We’ve been fortunate to go 2 other times between then but not with all the kids. Because of family plans we had to push back our anniversary celebration until this summer. We’ll be headed there in June. Here’s the question: I want to make it a special occasion again, and honestly it will be anyway just having the kids with us, but is there a way to get some type of 10 year anniversary button if technically our anniversary has now passed? Also another important point is that we’re not staying on site at a Disney resort. I’ve toyed with the idea of wearing our “Just Married” buttons but I don’t want to be answering questions all the time about how we actually weren’t JUST married. At the same time, we’ve told our kiddos that it’s for our anniversary and yet to have reminders here and there of others acknowledging it I want it to stick with our kiddos of how significant this is for our fam. Part of me feels really weird even posting about this because I know that a small part of me is also greedily wondering if there will be more mini-perks in addition to being told happy anniversary from cast members. I’m not gonna lie. This isn’t the primary motivation obviously (if you can trust this stranger) but I’d be disingenuous if I were to say that never crossed my mind.

Suggestions on getting a 10 year anniversary buttons (since our anniversary technically passed when we weren’t able to come is this not cool), do we make our own, just wear the older “JUST married” buttons, some other way to keep reminding the fam and still place our anniversary at the center of the reason for this family vacation for the wifey and kiddos? Basically, right now we all know that we’re going as this anniversary celebration but I’m worried that it could become just a trip to Disney for the kids without also thinking that this is special for another reason too. Maybe that’s a lot to ask for little kids eager to meet some princesses :)

Thanks in advance!

There are generic "I'm Celebrating" buttons available and the occasion is written on the button. They don't ask for any sort of proof, and write in whatever you say is your special occasion. They don't stand out as much as the specific ones, but they're still at least acknowledged.

If you really want something unique you could make your own buttons.

If you are celebrating your anniversary, get the anniversary buttons even if you are not going on the exact date of your anniversary. I wouldn't use the just married buttons ten years after the fact...
My wife and I went for a whole week - just the two of us - for our 35th and 40th anniversary. Scheduling conflicts made it impossible to go on the actual anniversary dates, but we got the buttons because it was a lot of fun hearing "happy anniversary" from the cast members and then being able to respond with "40!". One bus driver commented "I think it's gonna last!!!" The most unexpected greeting came from "Alice" on top of her mushroom during the night time parade. I still don't know how she spotted us unless some of the "parade guard" cast members walking the route can communicate with the characters.
Don't get them expecting any special favors, but just to enjoy the greetings from the CMs.
FYI we plan to go for a week for our 45th anniversary next year.

We celebrated out 25 year anniversary for the entire week. At some point before our trip I had to call and told the cast member about our celebration and we had buttons with two inter-connected Mickey heads and it says Happily Ever After. The cast member at the front desk wrote 25 Yrs inside the Mickey heads and Anniversary directly under it.

I don't think they have the specific Anniversary buttons anymore, but they'll customize the Celebrating buttons for you. You can get them at the concierge desk of your Disney resort or at park Guest Relations desk. We've gone to WDW to celebrate several of our anniversaries. The last was for our 40th, too.

Tip: ask them to cover the inked portion of the pins with clear tape. Otherwise the writing can rub off fairly quickly. This way it will last all week.

they revamped all of the button line-up a few years back. Can't remember which ones were eliminated otherwise. But all were changed at least slightly.

I'm slowly working on planning our 10 year anniversary there, as well. Still three years away (and likely several family trips in between), but I'm trying to keep track of every little thing I want to do because my wife has told me I can do the whole thing and just surprise her with the plans when we get there.
