Trip Report 10 x 2 wishing for an extra magical celebration! Completed!

I'll start this pre trip by taking you back in time. Approx 10 years and 7 months.

I was having my first ultrasound with my amazing OBGYN. This being my second pregnancy I was an old pro. All 31 years old and cocky. When my doctor suddenly said "Oh, here is why you have been so sick. Baby A and Baby B. You're having twins."

The world stopped. Everything came crashing down around me. I was speechless, dumbfounded even. I couldn't process anything she told me and was sent on my way to digest the news.

10 years later, I look at my beautiful, brilliant, unique and sassy girls and I am still speechless and dumbfounded. How did I get so lucky that the Universe gave me you?!? So this trip is all about celebrating Bear and Nene. Double Digits Baby!

We were one of the ships after Antman so Spider-Man ran through, and I mean ran through the dining room. View attachment 743751
Can I get a description of the food? The wedge I figured out but it looks so sparse. The salmon? looks ever so dry as do the rice and veggies. The panko breaded patty is? It looks good, and the scallops look well seared. Is that a doughnut on a sundae? I am not totally lazy. I went to look up the menu but nothing matched up. Have they changed it so soon?

We were very underwhelmed by the entrees. The wedge and broccoli soup were actually good. The salmon was very overcooked with no sauce of any kind. The chicken schnitzel was seasoned well and served with pan seared potatoes and green beans. The pie was key lime and the sundae was a Pim sundae with a donut. Honestly this meal/restaurant was disappointing however we all loved the red marbled bread at the beginning. It was delicious!

I just found your TR and am really enjoying it. Your daughters are so adorable, and I loved the background story that you shared early on! Medical emergencies are always so stressful especially when on vacation but I'm glad it all worked out for your daughter. I have two grown daughters and it's so fun to have those pampered days together.

We woke up very early. We had not put out our luggage the night before since we intended to walk off with it. The night before we ordered pastries and coffee so we could have a quick breakfast in the room before heading off. We were excited for the next leg of our vacation but sad to tell the Wish goodbye.

We had requested an Uber for 8:30 but we were off the ship by 7:45 with no issues. I couldn't believe how easy it was to walk off. I was expecting long delays. DCL has this down to a science.

We FaceTimed our other kids as we were all missing one another and luckily our Uber was able to come a little earlier. We had to drive to our Universal Hotel Loews Royal Pacific to drop our bags and pick up our park tickets. We got there by 9:00am, so not too shabby!

The distance to the parks from the hotels at Universal is so nice. We had a 10 minute walk and a quick pitstop to grab Starbucks and we were in Universal Studios.

Nene loves the Simpsons so we took a distances picture with Homer and Bart since the girls didn't want to wait in line.

One more photo stop on our way.

The fear of missing the ship or that her tooth would get worse were very stressful! I am really bad at "self care" so it's nice to have girls remind me that it's something we should do from time to time.
I'm really enjoying your trip report, I've been thinking of going on a Disney cruise so it's great to read about it.
We were on the fence about doing a cruise for so long! I am glad the girls pushed us over the edge.

We finally made it to our destination, Diagon Alley!

I love the Harry Potter areas of Universal. The theming is up there with Carsland and Galaxy's Edge. It's just so good. We went to the wand store first. Neither girls was selected for the ceremony which was probably for the best. I'm sure the other one would have been jealous. Wands selected we went to exchange our money.

They loved interacting with the Goblin in Gringott.

Money in hand it was time for our Universal ride. Escape from Gringotts.

My thrill seeker twins thought it was ok but slow. I was flabbergasted. I love this ride!
We were parched so it was time for our first Butterbeer.

It was nearing lunchtime and the girls wanted Krusty burger for lunch so back to the Simpson area we went. We were surprised that once you entered the area it was more of a cafeteria with multiple options. None of which were appetizing 🤢. Fried, fried and more fried. We acquired our Krustyburgers and sat in Moe's Tavern.

Nene had some fun with the bartender who was such a good sport. She told him she lost her friend Seymour Butts could he help her find him? He promptly asked the bar " Can anyone help this girl with Seymour Butts?" The girls loved it!

I'm sorry my Universal portion is light on pictures so I'll try not to be too wordy.

We spent a little time at the pool and then got ready for our dinner reservation at Cowfish. Hubby and Bear love sushi and seafood so this was their choice.
IMG_0448.jpeg

We were seated quickly and then we waited and waited some more. Some waters were thrown on the table and finally after 20 minutes we were greeted. We ordered drink and entrees at the same time since we were worried about when someone would be back. Our food didn't take very long to come out.

Mine was the cheeseburger sushi and I wasn't a fan. It didn't help that we had burgers for lunch. Everyone else enjoyed their food. It was almost 7pm and we decided to go back in Universal so the girls could take the Hogwarts Express to Islands of Adventure.
