$10 Store Downtown Disney

I first went to this place 2 years ago, in 2005.
What a find it was!!

It was full of odds and ends of merchandise marked waaaaay down.

On a wall marked 4 for $10 I got 2 coffee cups with $12 price tags on them and 2 baseball caps priced at $22.

I have been there 2 times since and that experience is apparently not to be repeated.

I just got back on Monday, and I had been quite excited to get there again.

This time--no bargains at all!

What was in the store was regular merchandise available anywhere. However, it WAS stuff that was less than $10.

I guess if you have kids on a limited budget, this is a good one-stop shopping destination.

But adults looking for bargains are going to have to get to the outlets, I guess.

Not a complaint, just an FYI.

I had intended to do a regular trip report--sorry about that. I really didn't have anything new to say--short lines, Food and Wine somewhat overrated, great meals, resort OK--we'll try a different one next time. The only thing different was my report on the $10 Store. After writing that, I realized I really didn't have anything original to say.

You're right--it should have been in News.

You know, it's an ill wind that does nobody good...

This just means that we can mark Downtown Disney off our "to do" list. There wasn't really any other reason for us to go.

Since I don't have a Disney Visa any more, there's no reason to go to World of Disney.

In our trip, the absolute worst crowds we experienced were at DTD--and the bus stops at the Marketplace were closed.

We went there in Sept. & found some Disney plush toys & bobble head toys for the 4 for $10.
I do prefer The World of Disney store though.
