10 night split stay at 7 month window

I am attempting to book a 10 night split stay for Aug 19 through Aug 29 with 6 nights in a 2 bedroom at BCV (8/19-8/25) and then 4 nights in a studio at Poly (8/25-8/29). As I understand it the FP+ reservations can be made for the full 10 nights right at the 60 day mark of the first check-in but the rooms will be considered 2 separate reservations so ADRs have 2 separate windows and we will get 2 sets of magic bands. I’m good with all of that. My question to those who have done this before is when can I book my reservation at a non-home resort? If I book the 6 days at BCV on 1/19 right at the 7 month window can I also add 1 day at Poly to the end for a total of 7 days and then add days 8, 9 and 10 each of the next 3 days? Or because it’s technically 2 reservations do I need to wait until 1/25 to book the 4 nights at Poly? I wouldn’t worry about the couple of day difference but the friends who will be staying with us the first 6 days will be renting DVC points for the 4 nights at Poly so I don’t want them to rent until I’m sure I can get the room myself since the rental is not reversible. I know @helenabear and a few others here have a lot of knowledge on details with DVC. Does anyone know the answer?

You won’t be able to book the poly until it’s first night is within the 7 month window.

First of all ADRs can be done at the beginning if you call MS

You will need to book each separately for the rooms. BCV will have one window and PVB will have it on th 25 th. Each room type is considered a different reservation in terms of room booking.

Yes I’ve just done this, ADRs could not be done. I didn’t ring as couldn’t be bothered and got everything I wanted anyway on the 180 day out of the second booking. I do know some have rang and they have said they won’t do it, so not sure. FP also didn’t work initially but they sorted that.
Doesn’t sound like you are doing it, but if you were booking home resort at 11 months to swap at 7 into a split stay, book home resort in 2 separate bookings under separate names, matching the nights for the split, then amend each one.

Those who say they rang and were told they couldn’t book the ADRs for the whole trip either got an inexperienced CM or called the regular GS not Member Services.

Thee was a period of about 6 weeks where the FP system was changed to separate booking windows, from mid February 2019; that was when they were trying to close loopholes with the system. It was changed back again after a few weeks.
