Question 1: the bike messenger at the start. If a tall, skinny obect is about to fall on you, why would you try to out race it, why not go left or right?

I wondered that myself! I'm from Seattle, and having been up in the Space Needle many times, I can tell you it's tall enough that there is NO WAY he would have been able to gt out of the way in time going the direction he went. :p Especially trying to bike in an earthquake.

My other questions: how did the computers stay on through the initial quake? And how did Kim Delaney's character even stay standing in a quake like that? :p

And how about that train being chased by an earthquake? How does an earthquake chase a single train?? And didn't you just love that the tracks were ever so convienently placed on the faultline? I should change the drinking rules to drinking a shot whenever something stupid happens. At this rate I'd be so drunk I'd probably die of alcohol poisoning.

Yes, I loved that! Because the fault conveniently ran RIGHT along the tracks. Although to be fair, there's a small fault that runs along I-90 in Seattle, but still!

Oh, I would be pretty drunk too, and I hold my alcohool amazingly well! LMAO!

Well, according to Speck earlier, San Francisco gets it turn to bite earthquake this hour. Can't wait. ***sets up glasses of midori on table***

Why did they keep driving into the dust cloud? My train of thought would be "This is bad. I'm going to turn around." And then I would. And I loved that she turned out to be asthmatic... and even knowing this, her father STILL kept driving into the cloud. And the circling birds... oh, no, birds NEVER just mill around!

Here's my bet on the bratty daughter: because of this disaster, she and daddy are brought closer together, and in the end she has a heart of gold.

(gets ready to take more swigs of beer)

Okay, when they were siniking, why didn't they climb out the sunroof on the SUV instead of trying to squeeze out the window? :p

Kirsten, your first mistake is trying to use logic watching this movie. I threw that out at 9:01 when this movie started. I just wish there was a sinkhole that would swallow this whole movie.

LMAO!! Too true! But HA! At least good ol' dad figured out what I'd been saying all along.

And the camera work in this is making me motion sick, and it's not even an earthquake part... or maybe it's all the alcohol this movie is making me consume. ;)

In the event of an emergency and your fellow traveller cannot place on their mask, place your mask on first, and then help your fellow traveller.:hammer:

Hahaha! Is your city ready to eat it? My hometown already did!

She lost her inhaler... she'll need it later on. My beer bottle tells me so.
