1 day PH

My husband and I are going to do a kidless trip this summer 6days/5nights staying at our home resort WL. We are only doing a 1 day PH.

Our plan is bus to AK in the morning doing the Safari, Lion King, FOP then bus to Art of Animation to have a drink then take the Skyliner and possibly stopping at Caribbean and Rivera (or some variety of those stops) then to EPCOT IG to Canada for dinner hoping to check out Guardians and Test Track then Monorail to to MK just to see how Tron is coming along and maybe do Haunted Mansion. I'd love to do the railroad loop but I haven't heard of its open date yet then boat back to WL.

To me it doesn't sound too crazy for 1 day, the rest of the trip is more a relaxed. Just wondering thoughts.

I guess it depends on park hours and what time you’re able to book for dinner.

Also I’d have thought it’s quite likely Guardians will have a virtual queue, for which you’ll need a park reservation, and ILLs. There may not be stand-by available to start with. So your plans would need to include buying an ILL at 7am and hoping you get one.

WOW!! You must have a lot more energy than I do to do that much hopping in only one day. I like the idea of spending the rest of your trip relaxing. I think many people (myself included) underestimate the pleasure and need for slow-paced vacations at WDW.
My only greatest concern would be that rushing so much on your only park day would stop you from seeing so much. However, it sounds like you get there a lot, so seeing so much may not be your priority.
Anywho, it sounds like an adventure, so have fun and post a trip report when you return.

I'm hoping to get a reservation at Le Cellier for 4ish.

Seeing as we are only doing 1 day in the parks and what we hope to do, I had planned on doing the Genie Plus ( I did it for our last trip and IMHO it was worth it for our family and it gave me a good chance to get familiar with how it works in real time assuming it still works the same way in August 😂 )

For time considerations, we planned on getting to AK about 9ish and getting to EPCOT by 3pm and leaving to MK for 7ish ( thinking MK is open until 10)

We are kind of just going with our favorites :) We're gonna be sleeping in and chilling the day after for sure

The timings sound OK then, with an early dinner.

If you’re planning to do FoP and Guardians, be aware that those aren’t part of Genie+ FoP is an ILL and I suspect Guardians might also be by then. Those are the ones you have to pay separately for.

I imagine Guardians will definitely be on the paid fancy ride list and truth be told FoP is one of my favorites I paid twice last trip because it was so busy when we went just closed my eyes and hit the buy button 😂
