...and the oustanding CM of the year award goes to:

BARRY SIMMONS

Barry is a retail manager of the "World of Disney."
Several days after spending a rather substantial amount of money on those blasted Disney pins, we discovered that half of the pins were not in the bag...
Having remembered that the salesperson split the pins into two bags, we figured the second bag was inadvertently left on the counter and gone forever.

We went to the World of Disney and was greeted by Barry who, in traditional Disney form, could not have been more helpful and courteous. He promised to look into the matter and contact us even though we were staying off property....and he did....
He was unable to find the original bag but saw to it that we received all the pins we had purchased and, to top it off, he gave us a super duper Cast only pin thats worth about $75 on ebay...
this guy really made our day and I thank him for it.

I'm in the process of getting a nice thankyou letter off to Barry with a copy to the Disney Customer Relations Dept.
If there's any other dept to which a copy of this letter should be sent, I would appreciate the advice.

I have two favorite CMs. One on each coast. :)

My favorite CM at WDW is: Hans Harrison. He has been a CM for about 8 years. (About the same amount of time as he's been married to my sister :) ) He was part of the Animal Kingdom opening crew in '98, where he worked as a truck driver on Kilimanjaro Safari. He always knew how to improvise when things went wrong on the ride, and he could be counted on to keep the guests laughing. People especially loved his puppets. He had some various animal puppets that he used to tell jokes, play trivia games, and entertain guests. I remember being told of his infamous night safari during the Christmas season. Near the beginning of the ride, the truck's headlights went out. Hans had to improvise the entire ride using the puppets. It turned out he had a truckload of Disney executives who said this was one of the best rides they had ever been on! Hans now works at Theater in the Wild. (where Tarzan Rocks can be seen) Along with his new job comes a new puppet. It is a carnotaurus puppet with the horns cut off. Instead of horns, it has those colorful plastic utensils. He calls it a "restaurantosaurus"..... or a "dinersaur".

Hans reminds me of my favorite DL cast member......

MAYNARD!!!!

Poor little Jeb had nothing to do with that. The blame, I mean responsibility for that falls on that nice lovely woman's shoulders. What was her name again? ;)

My Favorite CM is Rob R from Magic Kingdom entertainment. Such a handsome, strapping young lad he is. Always willing to jump in and help out, if it means that guests will get more magic from their trip

Debbie Hall from Boma............one of the only CMs at a sit down resturant that treated me like a guest (Rob you prob. know what I'm talkking about). We go to Boma around once every three weeks and she is like a mother figure to me. She is defently one of the shinning stars at Walt Disney World.
