I thought I read in The Unofficial Guide or somewhere that you could get the connection guaranteed upfront if you were traveling with minor children.

From what I remember there are a few specific circumstances that have to be met to guarantee it. Needing an ADA room (they max at 2 occupancy at some of the resorts) would be one as would having 4 or more kids and only 2 adults.
