I don't doubt you. It appears Disney is a victim of its own reputation. Anything that veers away from "kid friendly" is bound to receive complaints. In many cases, like here, rides/shows, get replaced. Others get tinkered with to remove more negative elements. Meanwhile over at Uni, they can pretty much do what they want because scary is not only allowed, it's expected.
Well, especially with something that isn't clear from the outside that it will be scary and uses a pretty kid friendly looking IP.
Basically something that is unexpectedly scary.
Like if you ride Expedition Everest and complain it was scary/thrilling that is sort of silly.
But if like The Cat in the Hat was scary at Universal I can understand complaining it was scary as it isn't obvious it would be
