Trip Report “Parents please supervise your children, and children please supervise your parents” 2018 Graduation Trip Report! *COMPLETE*

Well, it’s been three days, but I’m back from “The World”. Still trying to recover and catch up on sleep :hilarious:. I was pretty exhausted, but we had a great time! The Disney depression has officially kicked in, but I’m hoping this TR will help alleviate some of the pain.

For those of you who are just joining and are wanting to know the Who, When, Where, and Why, feel free to read my PTR!

https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/the-captain-is-headed-home.940164/

This is my first TR, and the bar was set pretty high for first timers (cough cough @becca_ cough cough). Seriously, if you haven’t read her first TR, you need to! Anyways, I hope everyone bears with me and enjoys the 2,000+ pictures that I made, along with this TR! :)

Up next: Travel Day!

I'm loving the train tour, too!! Keep those pictures coming! (Meant to comment that some of the pictures you posted earlier of the engineer's side were fascinating. Never gave it much thought before that he wouldn't have a straight-on, full panoramic view, but would be looking out from one side only--due to all the metal in the way.
Glad you enjoyed them! Actually, the engineer’s view is a little bit larger than it looks in the photos. It’s not super big, but it’s big enough to see what’s in front of the locomotive and to the side.

My nephew would die over that train tour! He LOVES trains!
Then he would really enjoy the tour!

I got off at Frontierland Station and began to make my way to the hub.

I doubt you can see them, but there were so many bass in the water.

M and L got their coffee and were heading towards me, but that God awful “Move It! Shake It! Street/Dance Party” abomination, that needs to go, was passing by, so they had to wait before they could cross Main Street.

M and L finally made it across Main Street and found me. We were then off to Adventureland!

Sticking with tradition!

I have such a deep appreciation and love for the Swiss Family Treehouse. It’s sacred in my book.

I've never done the Treehouse! I think Harper would enjoy it now that she's 4!

I've seen plenty of families climb up together. Yet, just a word of gentle caution, since she's only 4. Does she mind heights? The climb up is fairly high--you don't notice it until you look down. Now, if heights don't affect her, she'll love it. It's fun to see the rooms in an outdoor treehouse. She'll think it's a big adventure. :)

I don’t ever remember seeing it before. The path that goes to it also seems new.

Once we finished with SFT, it was time for our 1st FP of the day.

Omg, this guy is the best skipper that I’ve had in a very long time! Seriously, I can’t remember the last time our skipper was this good.

Eugene was absolutely hilarious and did an incredible job delivering all the corny jokes! What I liked about him the most, is that he had a good, yet dry, sense of humor and knew how to make fun of himself, and did so quite often.

Once again, Eugene was great (can’t stress that enough), and he was everything that you could ask for in a skipper!

Old Smiley and Ginger.

“Watch out for Ginger, because she snaps!”

Our cruise came to an end, and it was time to say goodbye to Eugene.

I didn’t really eat breakfast, so once we got back on dry land, I was ready to find food!

All I had on my mind were beef nachos from Pecos Bill. :hungry:
1D3A1D36-49F4-4FBC-AA2B-03AFAAF3F858.jpeg

I know, I’m a topping hog #noshame :hilarious:

Not pretty (sour cream was practically frozen), but that didn’t affect the way they tasted! Sooooo good! There was actually way more beef than I expected!

M wasn’t hungry, so she didn’t get anything, but L got a side of black beans and said they were good.

While we ate, there was this big family (about 8) that brought their own lunch and took up 3 tables. They didn’t get anything at all from Pecos Bill.

Look, I know people can bring their own food into the parks, and I’m ok with that, but what I’m not ok with is people who bring their own food and go inside a restaurant to eat it. Those tables are for paying customers.

The place was packed, probably the most crowded I’ve ever seen it, and there were so many people who had actually gotten food from Pecos Bill, but couldn’t find a table because everything was taken. If this family wasn’t there, 3 tables would have been available.

I wish Disney would crack down on this issue, especially when restaurants are crowded.

We left Pecos Bill and went into the Frontier Trading Post for a few minutes, then we made the short walk over to Grizzly Hall.

Country Bear Jamboree is a classic. It opened with MK on October 1, 1971, which makes it the longest running show in WDW history. It never fails to put me in a great mood every time I see it.

Also, am I the only person on this site that loves the movie? God I wore that VHS tape out. :hilarious:

After our swingin’, stompin’, clappin’, and growlin’ time with the bears, we headed off to Fantasyland for our Peter Pan FP.

This is the only picture that came out half decent and is post worthy. :hilarious:

Agree. But I also think that WDW could remedy some of this problem, by creating some "picnic" areas for people who bring in their own lunch. (Doesn't even need to be just one location with multiple tables; rather, it could even be a few smaller seating areas, in different locations.) There's an amusement park in a neighboring state to mine, and they've always had a section of picnic tables available.

Yeah, that would be nice, but I don’t think Disney will do something that would promote/benefit people who bring their own food into the parks. :hilarious:

This was my first time on the left side! I’ve ridden Dumbo about 20-25 times since the move to Storybook Circus, but always rode the one on the right.

:mad::mad: Why does one of my favorite queues have to be ruined?! :banghead::banghead::banghead:

The FP line moved quickly, and we were fixing to board our log, but then, everything stopped. We stood here and waited close to 20mins.
0DD4314D-6E10-411E-BDAE-24A02FBDFEF6.jpeg

A few minutes later, the main manager/supervisor called all the CMs together and they got excited because they knew what was about to happen. A CM came back with a smile on his face and said, “Yep, were gonna be down for awhile!”.

At this point, I was ticked off. I was soooo close to a on-ride evacuation. :cautious: :hilarious:

While the CMs directed everyone to where they needed to go, this woman somehow was able to stand up in her log, which was not yet at the dock, and began to climb out. Really lady? What the heck are you thinking?

After some intense yelling between her and the CMs, she finally sat back down in her log. She then proceeded to show the CMs that they were #1. With both hands. Some people are just insanely stupid.

We ended up taking the CM stairs that go over the dock to the other side. It literally comes out at the regular exit, so there wasn’t much to our evacuation.

We were presented with these as we exited into the gift shop.

I think we may have ducked inside the Briar Patch while we tried to find out where M was. She ended up doing something, but I can’t remember what. Anyways, L wanted to head back towards Tomorrowland and ride the TTA, so off we went.

30EE8DDB-168E-4082-88C2-19F13B496395.jpeg

It was at this moment when I realized the TTA was sponsored by Alamo. I hadn’t noticed it before. The sign is kind of small. Plus it’s not mentioned in the audio, so I’m sure it’s easy for it to go unnoticed.

When we got off the TTA, I booked me a FP for Little Mermaid and L was able to get one for her and M at the same time as mine. M called to see where we were, and I told her to meet us over at Mermaid.

We met M, then it was time to go under the sea!
