Trip Report “Parents please supervise your children, and children please supervise your parents” 2018 Graduation Trip Report! *COMPLETE*

Well, it’s been three days, but I’m back from “The World”. Still trying to recover and catch up on sleep :hilarious:. I was pretty exhausted, but we had a great time! The Disney depression has officially kicked in, but I’m hoping this TR will help alleviate some of the pain.

For those of you who are just joining and are wanting to know the Who, When, Where, and Why, feel free to read my PTR!

https://forums.wdwmagic.com/threads/the-captain-is-headed-home.940164/

This is my first TR, and the bar was set pretty high for first timers (cough cough @becca_ cough cough). Seriously, if you haven’t read her first TR, you need to! Anyways, I hope everyone bears with me and enjoys the 2,000+ pictures that I made, along with this TR! :)

After hanging out with Mickey, Minnie, and Goofy, we headed over to WS, and I was ready to hit up some more F&G Outdoor Kitchens!

The Victoria Gardens are absolutely beautiful! One of my favorite areas in WS. I could sit out here for hours.

I was ready for something to eat when we got to France. I decided to revisit Fleur de Lys, but this time I got the Confit de Canard aux Gnocchi a la Parisienne: Braised Duck Confit with Parisian Gnocchi
C904E1B2-330F-41C7-B537-D48BCD2D7256.jpeg

Omg y’all, this is no doubt the best thing I ate on this trip!! It was sooo freaking good!! And the portion was huge!!

I’ve had duck before from France during F&G, and it was very good, but this was even better! It was very flavorful. The gnocchi, which I got a large amount of, was stuffed with cheese, but I’m not sure what kind. They were also very good. But the sauce/gravy was the best part imo.

Overall, it was absolutely fantastic and might just be the best thing I’ve ever eaten at WDW. (EPCOT for sure) I just can’t get over how big of a portion it was. Hoping and praying that it’ll return next year for F&G. :angelic:

We ended up grabbing a table over at Les Halles. M had the tomato tart that I got the other day and thought it was really good.

We then continued our journey through WS.

Though I had eaten like 30mins ago, I was ready for the 2nd Outdoor Kitchen of the day when we reached the American Adventure.

THE SMOKEHOUSE: Barbecue and Brews
Pulled Pig Slider with Coleslaw
5754D4B6-3F05-4C9A-8A49-24DAD20B3D6A.jpeg

It was good, but nothing to write home about. Just your average bbq slider. The coleslaw was better than I expected, but it was a little bit on the spicy side.

I got this during F&G back in 2016, and it was far more better than what you see above. The portion was larger, the pork was better quality, and it was served on a brioche bun, not a regular dinner roll.

Being from S.C. (greatest bbq in the southeast), I can be very critical when it comes to bbq. In all honesty, I think it would of been better if I had put some sauce on it. This little cuss came up to the condiment stand and snatched the bottle of bbq sauce right out my hand and ran off with it!:mad::mad: I wanted to jerk a knot in the shi...brat’s tail, but he disappeared.

We ended up grabbing a table inside the Liberty Inn. L wasn’t feeling too good and decided to head back to Sports so she could take a nap. As she was leaving, Mickey (yes Mickey), Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Br’er Fox, and Br’er Bear appeared and hung out between the AA and Italy. I love it when characters make surprise visits. :joyfull:

M and I were soon ready to head outside, but first I wanted to grab some pictures.

If you read the plaque, it tells you how the flags hanging inside the Liberty Inn represent the colors flown by the 13 colonies during the American Revolution.

This was one of the flags that represented South Carolina during the Revolutionary War.

I’m highly interested in anything involving the Revolutionary War, especially when it’s about S.C.

We then went inside II Bel Cristallo, but I didn’t stay in there long. The strong aroma of perfume about knocked me down, so I stepped outside.

Really enjoying all your photos! Those are some of the nicest I've seen from the Italy pavilion. :)

I really wish they’d built the Rhine river boat ride. Maybe one day. :angelic:

We continued on towards China.

Thankfully there wasn’t a massive crowd surrounding the Simba topiary this time.

They had some really cool merch from Shanghai in there.

I find the train set unusual, seeing how Shanghai doesn’t have a railroad.

The China pavilion is starting to become one of my favorites. It really is beautiful and I enjoy going in HoGF. I certainly like it better than the Japan pavilion.

I hadn’t seen Pluto in a long time, and the line was fairly short, so I jumped in.

I had to wait a little longer though because Pluto ran off and chased a flock of ducks. :hilarious: He finally stopped and came back once he reached the Mexican pavilion.

Love me some Pluto!

Earlier, back in the Liberty Inn, I snagged me a FP for TT at 4:45ish, so I headed there next. (via the Odyssey)
