This is part of what we don't always love about it, the noise.I appreciate all the feedback. As an update, we kept our reservation and were glad to experience the restaurant. Our food was delicious, and the bread pudding exceeded the hype I had heard about for years. Our service was good, and we didn't feel too rushed.
Unexpectedly, the worst part of our experience was the atmosphere. Perhaps it was the timing of our reservation (peak dinner hours), but the lobby of the Poly was packed and loud. I have never seen it so busy before. The noise from the lobby carried to the middle of the restaurant, where we were seated. While I appreciate the talented ukulele player, this only added to the noise level and made the whole evening feel chaotic. It's unfortunate, but I would equate the ambiance to eating in the Pop cafeteria. I really couldn't believe it. I would consider returning, but maybe only at the earliest or latest of reservations.
Still dreaming of that bread pudding, though...

We've also seen a decrease in the quality over the years. It used to be just super-amazing meal, and as others have said, the price has gone up. One variable is the quality of your server. All WDW can be a bit hit or miss in that regard, but we've had some amazing 'Ohana experiences, and some where the service was terrible. Always some of the food is great, like the wings.
IMO, it also matters where you are seated. If you are seated near the window, it is a better experience than being seated closer to the bar/restrooms.
It has always been a bit loud though, and that can be fun or less fun if you are tired.
If you look in the recipes thread at the top of this thread, I THINK the recipe is there for the bread pudding. If 'Ohana's isn't there, then I'm pretty sure a similar recipe is there. In the past, multiple WDW restaurants had bread pudding. It is not that hard to make if you able to buy the right bread.
