News New Haunted Mansion Grounds Expansion, Retail Shop Coming to Disneyland Resort in 2024

I don’t know if anyone remembers the pipes behind the gate as you leave the exit to the attraction, but they were pretty glaring, and this is Disney’s answer to “fixing” the solution:

They did have the book at that shop next to the magic shop, it was the only book there. I remember that store used to be full of Disney books. They also have it at the Disneyana shop.

If you could relive a previous year of the park's history, which would it be?

I would have to say 1972, you still have Nature’s Wonderland and Carousel of Progress (with EPCOT prototype upstairs) which would both leave the park within the next five years plus you have the newly opened Country Bear Jamboree and Main Street Electrical Parade. This was about the height of...

Does anyone know if they are currently selling the 70th anniversary Happiest Place on Earth book at the park?

I read that The Terrifier maze had to close early last night because it was flooded with “blood”. Now that’s how you start Horror Nights!!!!!!

Disneyland 70th Anniversary Thread - Wishlist, Rumors, Speculation, Announcements

I’m getting less and less confident that Disneyland park is gonna get a notable new attraction for their 75th anniversary. I think New Tomorrowland is definitely not an option for the 75th by this point.

I thought that would be a cool option and that old European area has potential for a Universal Monsters overlay but what could you do with it? I would think to just make it a little more dingy looking with some Monster meets. It would be kinda wierd sitting right next to Illumination land lol.

Does anybody know why the Moulin Rouge was downgraded so much in the past? I believe the illuminated sails from the windmill were dismantled some time in 1996. It looks so much more vibrant in its former state in the picture below and I’m sure it had some great optics at night.

What more can USH do at this point? Where more can they build that doesn’t include the lengthy process of taking down a soundstage?

The Simpsons ride is on a such small piece of land so I really can’t see them creating anything besides an indoor drop tower style ride going off the cliff there. As for Despicable Me, I wish they would replace it because the ride seems so unnecessary especially without the 3D glasses to block...

The seeds for the Back to the Future were actually planted back in 1988 for the park. In 88’, they opened the new parking structure and created more park space by building on top of it, this is when they opened international streets of the world and Mel’s Diner. BTTF was scheduled to open in...

Yes, ET opened in 1991 along with the lower lot across from the newly relocated Studio Tour while Back to the Future opened two years later in 93’. As soon as the Studio Tour moved down to the lower lot, it moved again in no time in late 94 to make way for Jurassic Park’s 1996 opening. Fun fact...

I never got to experience USH growing up as a child but I remember going into local places and seeing the awesome brochures they had and just being so excited by them and wishing I could go. They always made earthquake, Kongfrontation look like actual separates rides so I didn’t know any better...
