Orlando Becoming East Coast Headquarters for Disney Parks, Experiences, and Products

Interesting to see where this ends up. I had the incredible opportunity to meet one of the Imagineers who designed RoTR vehicles and others. Literally met her in line riding the ride on its opening day at DisneyLand. Somehow her husband was more interested in my kid's healthcare professions :)...

What Happens to WDW / Disney Parks during a massive correction / recession?

Old enough to remember the affects of 9/11 on Disney. Almost no one travelled at all. We got a 4 for 7. You pay for 4 nights with tickets and got 7. October of 2003 we stayed concierge at WL. We had gone that year in Feb, staying offsite and remember the parks being empty.

Bob Chapek's response to Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' bill

That's what was so weird about this - like making up a law that feels incredibly unneeded. I mean I had the awkward middle school health sex ed talk with the young female PE coach experience but I was like 13

Bob Chapek's response to Florida's 'Don't Say Gay' bill

3 diverse takes here 1) I can't remember 2nd graders getting into this type of deep sexuality talk in school. Maybe at home where it's really the right place. Are 2nd graders becoming celebrities right now over this? 2) My wife is a teacher; legislative bodies telling educators what to teach...

    Disney's Punishment of Honest Media/Reviews

Len - our first WDW trip with kids was absolutely saved by your book. Loved it's honesty and gave us a sense of what to expect and what not to do.

    Disney's Punishment of Honest Media/Reviews

Hum - I use to be all over AllEars when I started online with Disney; Deb was a real treasure trove of very good, honest information. The reviews on her site of the resorts were really good. I honestly have not been to that site much at all. I actually do follow Pete and the DIS; the tend to...

We have 250 points that we are for the first time considering dumping; we rent a bunch of 2021 points out. Never done that.

    I CANCELLED MY DISNEY TRIP

Disney despite being priced point more than Busch Gardens or SeaWorld did provide an incredible experience. I have so many great memories. Until the demand erodes to a point where it affects the net income, I don't see any of this changing. I bought DVC in 2015, and the prices are now through...

What is the most over-rated and under-rated restaurants in WDW?

One night my mom and I were slated to eat at Kona Cafe. At one point in say 2010 to 2012 this was a family favorite. Anyways, the kitchen at Kona was broken that night so we got Ohana's dinner served at a reduce price. Ohana's noodles were amazing, the rest not amazing BUT the bread pudding...

What is the most over-rated and under-rated restaurants in WDW?

Overrated: Chef Mickey's (last time for breakfast was really horrible). Underrated: Morimoto - the ribs are just amazing The Wave for lunch - would gladly go over to Contemporary then anything at MK Geyser Point - same concept.

If you could create or expand a transportation network on property..

When we were there last March, after the parks closed, we saw several folks riding their road bikes on property. Since it was well empty it was a great place to ride. I love to ride myself, but the thought of riding in Florida say 6 or 7 miles from Old Key West to the front of MK, walking around...

Rumor Guest Boat Rentals Not Returning

Golf is an interesting one - It has a resurgence during COVID. Live on a course that had a huge uptick. Disney wants us in the parks, or in the stores, or restaurants. The days of the Vacation Kingdom that actually advertised the outside the park stuff seems long gone.
