Florida to PA - Where to stop and sleep?

We've driven between FL and PA a few times on WDW trips and stopped in both Emporia and Florence. If you are leaving earlier in the day and can make it to Emporia I would probably suggest that. You'll have a shorter drive on day 2 and I know that's when the car fatigue sets in for me.

    Bus Horror Stories

The only issue I can remember was on our honeymoon. We had stayed at the MK for extra hours and left the park around 1 AM. The boat had stopped running to the WL by that time so we headed over to the bus depot. We walked to every queue and couldn't find one sign that said it was for WL. We...

Trip Report * COMPLETED* The Let's Never Go Home Trip

I really enjoyed reading your TR! We did a 10 day trip for our 10th Anniversary and it definitely spoiled us. It was good to hear how much you love POFQ. We usually stay at WL but are giving POFQ a try next year after our cruise. Thanks for inviting us all along on your trip. Also love your...

Trip Report Cycling through Celebration, a cream cheese covered remote and the Closed Wallet Rebellion of 2016.

Thank you for sharing your very different Disney trip! This is a side we don't get to see although we did do the monorail resort hop on our last trip. I also loved the little side trip to Gatlinburg. We were there last August and enjoyed The Village (breakfast at the Pancake Pantry...yum!!)...

Trip Report May 7-14 Trip Report

This is one of the sweetest recaps I've read! I loved the part where your daughter asked mom for her autograph. What a great treat for mom so close to Mother's Day!

    Motorized scooters?

We rented a scooter for my husband from Buena Vista Scooters on our last trip in 2013 and everything went very smoothly for us. Our scooter was waiting at Bell Services when we checked in at the Wilderness Lodge and we dropped it off there after we checked out. We did upgrade and add the extra...

Need help choosing a resort for our WDW Honeymoon

We honeymooned at the Wilderness Lodge and have stayed there every time since on our visits to WDW. We had a Courtyard room so we had a great view of the pool and Bay Lake (and probably the geyser too if we had been at the room when it went off). I remember spending one night watching the...

    So crowded right now...

Most likely Portuguese. We were there the first two weeks of September and there were huge groups from Brazil at all the parks. I think half the audience at Indiana Jones was from there.

    Ideal Themed Restaurant

These are some really fabulous ideas. If they can make it snow at Be Our Guest then a few happy haunts shouldn't be a big problem. The Speakeasy is just awesome. It would really fit with the old Hollywood vibe the park has going (sort of, if the imagineers don't ruin what remains of it).

    Be Our Guest ADR

We ate there two weeks ago and we really enjoyed the meal. We thought it was delicious and the service was really good. We only got to see two of the rooms (the Ballroom, where we ate, and the West Wing) and both were just like they were lifted right out of the movies.

    Tipping the hotel staff?

We tipped five dollars a day (with two people in the room) since that is probably just below what they earn in an hour and we thought they might like an extra hour or so's pay. If I remember correctly from when I worked in the industry, the previous posters were probably close to average when...

    Tipping the hotel staff?

We just got back and there were no blue envelopes at the Wilderness Lodge. We used the note pad in the room and left a note that we were leaving the tip for our mousekeeper with a thank you. It must have worked because they took the tip every day and gave us more washcloths than we could ever...

Night of Joy better than you may expect?

We were there on Friday night and we really enjoyed it. Since my husband uses an ECV at parks we were put in the disability section which was right in front of the stage at the castle so we had really good views of the performers. Stephen Curtis Chapman and Michael W Smith are two of our...

    Old or new test track?

Just got back from Disney. I was able to ride the new TT once while at Epcot and I guess my opinion is that it's okay. I went on through Single Rider and wasn't able to design my own car so I guess that was part of why I wasn't really impressed.

Villainsland in DHS, could it work?

We just got home from WDW and unfortunately had to miss the Villains Event (our check out day). We really would have loved to see it. If our hotel was any indication (we stayed at the Wilderness Lodge) this was packed out because there were quite a lot of people waiting to catch the bus to the...

    DDP Question..

We're leaving next week and we have a total of nine credits to use. We opted to splurge and go to two signature restaurants because it's not something we get to do in our regular boring life back home. Oh the simple joys of vacation! We think we'll be able to make all the rest of our meals...
