Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I do not think Universal will analyze the capacity issues until all current attractions are up speed. Most are operating at a reduced capacity, some are still having extended downtimes, and compounded by staffing issues. I think until then they will address other issues like sightlines.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I think Oz/Wicked may end up as a land in the new UK park. Possibly where the big green coaster is in the concept art. And they can't use Potter to sell $$$ interactive wands, so...

Universal's food is still pretty bad

The 2 best restaurants at UOR are The Palm (steakhouse) at Hard Rock Hotel and BiCE (Italian) at Portofino Bay. Both very good and very pricey. The 2 worst restaurants at UOR are Circus McGurkus and Comic Strip Cafe at IOA. Admittedly, I have not eaten at either of those in several+ years, for...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Yes, they are Universal Resort busses, but they are not at a "gas" station. They are/were brand new electric busses. They were at the new electric bus charging station Universal built near Terra Luna off Universal Blvd. Apparently, while charging, the lithium batteries on one of the busses...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Nope, that's it. Almost identical. But Stella is a 10 min walk, Terra does not have a walkable path to Epic. It is a 3 min. bus ride.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Half of the remaining of July is sold out. August and September seems to show a real drop off. And what is typical for the "Summer Season", with kids starting football and band practice, and school starting again mid August. What we are not seeing is the massive S. American tour groups...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I mean, it is Summer and kids are out of school, and yet today HM had a 35 min. wait time. But I think the actual conversation this summer is about why HM has 35 wait times. NOT why Epic is at capacity with long wait times. The latter is obvious. It's a brand new state of the art park with some...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

We will see how this shakes out in the end. They have been at max capacity since previews. MKs numbers have collapsed this Summer. Not really Disney's fault. International travel is a huge market for the Summer travel season from Canada, South America, and the UK.. International travel has...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I don't really know what to make out of the numbers these days. Apparently Epic is so bad that normally the parks would be swamped with S. Americans but nope. And Brits and Canadians are also vacationing elsewhere. Thanks Universal!

Great video of the night show.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Just cause I dropped my phone in a lake Wednesday. The insurance brought me back today. And yes, the biggest issue and the reason for the early closing hours is they didn't even come close to their hiring target, and as always happens, some of their new hires aren't working out.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

The last domestic park to open from the big 2 was DCA with the opening act being the Sunshine Hubcap. Just sayin' I'm still sticking with the last domestic park to be this ambitious at opening was EPCOT Center in '82.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

It's not the best time to be opening a new theme park in the US. Canadian travel to the US has plummeted. As has from the UK and the EU. I would expect the same from the S. American travel season this winter. And there is a lot of economic pressures domestically.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Good, bad, or ugly. In 8 days Universal is gonna unleash this unholy abomination. The Today Show is going to broadcast live from the parks for 4 days. They are live streaming the Grand Opening Celebration on the evening of the 21st. And there is a 3 episode Universal Studios Theme Parks...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I think the short hours are because they are still doing overnight construction and ride fine tuning. The rides are still having a lot of downtimes, and I am sure they are working hard to fix that. I am a little surprised that they are not doing 10pm closings after the park officially opens on...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

Haha, true. Bad sightlines outside the park are one thing, but, ooff! This thing is ugly, and a bad ride. I think it would have been better if they just built the gypsy camp and not the coaster. Sell jewelry, crystals, and henna tattoos.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

I love this place! 23 pages of "terrible sightlines", but thank God we have now moved on to number crunching and how either it will be an Epic Fail or kill it's siblings in the process. But are there actually any attractions in this park? You guys haven't even started eviscerating the...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Now Open!

All this talk about bad sightlines around the perimeter of Universal's new $7.5 Billion theme park tells me Disnerds would rather not talk about what is in said theme park.

That view of Potter's backside is unfortunate. But don't worry it will be blocked soonish with a great view of the backside of LotR. ;)
