Actually, some states (FL included as of Jan 1, 2020) are now offering remote online notarization. I'm a notary and declined to do the training for the remote thing as it was too much hassle.

They are open for walk-up guests today (24th) and tomorrow (25th). Reservations will resume on the 26th.

They took some space from Ariel's and the old arcade area. It's definitely an expansion. I was pleasantly surprised by the inside. I was expecting more of the generic non-themed trend of late, but to me it looks like a more modern version of the old space. They are not open for guests today but...

Not sure if anyone has heard differently, but CM from Beaches were told to report to the location on Monday (Dec 16) to begin training. I'm assuming this means it will open earlier than the expected mid-Jan. *edit - Soft opening is 23rd-25th and first reservations will be 26th.

From what CM were told, the Kitchen Sink will not be available during the refurb. They are planning on offering a limited menu of ice cream items at a temporary location while Beaches is closed. That could change, so be sure to check while you are visiting.

Its never been refurbed since it originally opened. Hub tells me about all the problems and issues they have and I'm glad they are finally taking care of it all.

First time posting a thread! Cast were informed and confirmed today via resort heads that Beaches will close Aug 5 through some time in Dec for an expansion and refurb. Announcement supposed to go up on official Dis blog at noon.
