There has to be some space back there for this guy :) : I agree that it would take a more substantial rework of the building to convert to a full stage show and I don’t think that is likely. A hybrid show with a movie but some physical actors and/or set pieces is still a possibility though.

That would be interesting. I would hope at a minimum that if they go with a 4D movie it includes some physical set pieces like MV3D did.

My assumption is the only physical building changes are the demo of the Stage 1 store building and the new building for the Door Coaster. The rest of the buildings just get an overlay. Just my assumption based on the layouts and the art. Concept art is not intended to be an exact model so...

They are demoing the Stage 1 Company Store. I am talking about the It’s a Wonderful Shop that is between Mama Melrose and PizzaRizzo. They hosted Santa meet and greets there for during holidays. I assume it will be repurposed for Monster merchandise but they may carve out some meet and greet...

That’s a possibility. Maybe outside to the left or right of the entrance too. There’s also a gift shop space that I think was last used as a Christmas store.

The official announcement said theater show so that could be either. My gut feeling is a 4D movie due to the existing setup but when they decided to replace Bugs with Zootopia they called it a 4D movie from day 1 so who knows. Disney may not even be 100% sure at this point.

I’d be good with that. Too much interaction would result in crowds and a line. It’s nice to have little touches that maybe the masses skip over but those who care to take a little more time can enjoy.

There are also droids outside the droid depot that have a minimal amount of movement. They are behind a railing so you can’t touch. It would be cool if Monsters had some minor show elements built into the building facades too. They also added Muppets to HoP at one point so there’s some...

That would be really cool. If it was even mildly interactive even better. I love the talking head bit at Diagon Alley Universal. It’s just a little touch that adds to the experience.
