    College Program Vs. Regular CM

I'm going to UCF and working at WDW right now. Went through the same dillemma as you. If you're going to go CP, you will pretty much work full-time hours as there is little flexibility. As for part-time, you only need to have at least two days of FULL avalibility (this is for merchandise, other...

    Disney Bashers: Here they come!

Then again, something goes awry on a Six Flags coaster and suddenly news stations are on it like a predator goes after its prey. I'm sure Disney is not the only theme park co. that is vunerable to scrutiny.

    scoop sanderson

Scoop rocks. His pin seminars are very fun and informative. If you're lucky, you might be awarded a special Scoop pin. Don't dare ask for it though.

    Nemo show in 2004

I think I would point it more on the APs than Californians in general. It seems that every time I read an opinion article concerning DLR and "the locals", they always seem to want this and that. While I am certainly not labeling every AP from DLR as spoiled, it's these articles from spinmeisters...

Last few days for Residential Street

If the rumors are true, I truly hope that they use the space for this proposed attraction wisely. Space is not a luxury for this park.

    Pin exchange policy?

If you have an item that is broken, you can exchange it for a new one. The same item of course.

    interesting mgm studio's hat thoughts...

Hat Icon featured on almost all merchandise featuring the four park icons together? CHECK Flagship location for the sale of pins in the entire park? CHECK New structure placed under the hat to replace 100 yom logo? CHECK Two registers and build-a-pin stations added after 100...

    Disney on The Onion...Funny

They lose points for referring to WDW in Orlando and as a "theme park".

Cast Members: Sick of the Magic?

Repettion indeed can make things extrodinary the ordinary. I have experienced the parks as a jaded tourist, then Annual Passholder and now Cast Member. While there are some things that are quite boring in my role as a merchandise host (Greeting, Package Pick-Up/Resort Delivery or extra item...

    Pointing is not allowed

I've been using the "Disney Point" at work so much, I have begun doing outside of work! BTW, I've always wondered what cultures consider pointing by one finger impolite?

    Most profitable/unprofitable area

If going by business units. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts should be tops and Consumer Products should be at the bottom.

Brother Bear opening same weekend as Matrix Revolutions

The release the same day as "Revolutions" might actually help the film more than harm it. That film is rated R, shutting out most people under 17. If Brother Bear is the only film out that will appeal to families at that time, then it could be successful. A film doesn't have to be number one...

    WDW News Update!!!

Personally, I liked the fav Disney memory over the hometown names. I'm not really interested in where someone is from, but what they enjoy about Disney. Although I was not born in Florida, I have my "hometown" as Orlando, FL. I was originally born in N.J. I've been living here for a few years...

    Un-Disney CMs

I was considering doing the CP a few years back when the had a presentation on campus. However, I heard that working as a CP really didn't make sense if you lived in the area since CRs get paid more and have more of a flexable schedule. (But less hours of course). I also hear CPs start at $6/hr...

why can we non FLoridians get the same discount

Don't you guys think that a Florida annual pass is too much money? When you compare it the Funcard that SeaWorld/Busch Gardens has or the lower cost of the Universal passes, Disney's APs are quite steep in price. Of course, if I weren't working at WDW, I wouldn't have a problem with that...

    Universal strikes back again?

I don't know if this is true, but if the "Grad Bash" is an after hours event", wouldn't they have to deal with closing the coasters down early? Since the park is SO close to a residental area, they would be forced to close them around 10-11pm due to a special rule. You wouldn't get THAT at...
