Grand Floridian closing Disney might be good at reassigning full time CM's but the staff at the spa's and health clubs do not work for Disney, they work for Niki Bryan salon and are contracted by Disney to run the spas (GF and Saratoga) and health clubs (the other hotels).

I can confirm that the Grand Floridian Spa will be closing on September 14 for 18-20 months while the new DVC is being built. The plan is to bus GF guests to other hotels if they wish to have spa treatments.
