News Walt Disney World leadership reshuffle sees changes at the top of three of the parks

No joke! Why take someone so kind and put them in a position to have their ideas shot down and dreams crushed! A corporate Yes Man/Woman would be much more suited to filling the role at this point in time.

News Walt Disney World leadership reshuffle sees changes at the top of three of the parks

I'm more shocked that there has been someone in charge of Epcot for the past decade?!? Hasn't it just been run by a committee of hyperactive 8 year old kids and roving bands of drunkards?

Based on consecutive minutes/hours what's the longest time you've spent in a specific showcase pavilion?

Attended a wedding in the rotunda in American Adventure. Spent something like 4-5 hours there, drinking while enjoying a Brazilian drumline and carnival dancers. Good times.

Iger Succession Discussion... Food for Thought

I choose Bran the Broken. As Spaceship Earth will soon tell us, the importance of story is paramount, and who has a better story than Bran the Broken?

News Spaceship Earth Refurb - 2 Year Closure

Tentatively not terrified at the prospect of updating the ride post-Industrial Revolution. That kind of implies that the ride, in nature and concept, may not be killed by inserting <current fad character> into it to make it "more Disney".

Permanent Ralph Breaks The Internet Family Play Zone Debuts at Epcot

<internal monolog> Well, it's been months and months since I logged onto WDWMagic, I'm going to be at WDW in a few days. Let me pop in and see what new news and updates there are on the parks. Maybe all my anger at the upcoming changes to Epcot will have faded. </internal monolog> (clicks on...

If you could change one thing about the current Seas Pavilion what would it be?

I didn’t ask for it to revert to the old attraction, but the original theme I think is still relevant and could house a great attraction. New attraction, original theme. Just make sure it all ties together, supporting a single theme, and one that inspires people, not just inspires them to buy...

If you could change one thing about the current Seas Pavilion what would it be?

Or if you are modern Disney, I guess you could just add themed topiaries and call it a day.

If you could change one thing about the current Seas Pavilion what would it be?

Cheap, (not really a) joke answer there, I know. 1 thing I’d change is I would bring it’s theme back to undersea exploration. I’d want the entire pavilion adhere to that theme. I’d want people walking out not to think “well, that was a subpar aquarium”, but to dream about someday exploring...

News Exploratory geotechnical borings for new Epcot retention pond suggest new projects are in the works

Just when I thought Epcot was boring enough already, they double down. More boring. Ugh.

Limited Edition Trader Sams Mug Coming October 5

Welp, if I wanted to get into Trader Sams on my upcoming short trip, it seems getting in before the 5th is required, because after it'll be a pain.

What ever happened to the Epcot flamingos??

You've never wondered what is in the super expensive "crab cakes" that they serve at food and wine?

PHOTOS - Epcot Legacy Showplace opens as part of Epcot Food and Wine Festival

As has been said before, given the photos that are in the photo gallery, I believe I own copies of all of them in some of the various Epcot Center books, minus the new concept art. Looks like they're not even selling any unique merchandise, which is odd because it seems to be the place where...

What would be a good ending for Spaceship Earth?

Sorry to link to an external site and all, but I am too lazy to write all this twice. TL;DR - Ann Druyan re-writes the script for SSE, descent is a combination of Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot as well as discussion of the Golden Record on Voyager, linking the global perspective and...

    Does anybody trust Crowd Calendars?

Nice. I'd somehow missed that page on their site before. Coincidentally this thread made me go out and re-consider the idea of building a web scraping program to get my hands on some of their historical crowd information. :geek:

    Does anybody trust Crowd Calendars?

Use them as a guideline, but like anything, predicting the future is hard. I personally wish the crowd calendar sites would publish the general rules they use to develop their models. How they collect their data, what variables they collect, what variables they use to predict the crowd level...
