I'm late to the party, but, I never realized that Splash Mountain had a 'waterfall'. I think historically sections like this were considered a 'chute the chute' kind of ride. 🙂
Either way, it’s a shame to have bulldozed such a beautiful section of the campgrounds. 😢. I wouldn’t look forward to staying in a cabin exposed to the full Florida sun in August!
I'm sure it was an easy decision. All of the present day "cabins" are glorified trailers with wood cladding to make them look rustic. They've probably outlived their expected usefulness. Refurbishing them was probably impractical. 😪
