Driving to Disney... to drive or not to drive, that is the question!?!

I think it really just all depends on what you're looking to do, how much you're willing to spend, and what's most affordable. Our drive is always somewhere between 9 and 12 hours, minus any kind of stops, it's just usually cheaper to do that than take a flight. If you live further off, have...

Need some help planning a trip with friends

Thanks for the responses so far. Just to add a little more, there should be bed sharing, and we will probably be driving. What's the normal time periods for Free Dining, because if we could get that, that would make things a lot easier. Also, I'm correct in assuming you can pay the...

Is it smart to make ADR's every day?

I'd say you'll probably average about 1-2 days there, but spreading it out, makes things better. I just try to find the lulls in the MK's capacity, usually early mornings and later on, I think. Afternoons can be tough, because most children/parents will be up and out then.

Need some help planning a trip with friends

Me and some friends are considering taking a trip to WDW in the next year. I've only been with my family, and we typically stay on property, but I realize that this may not be easiest to do because of tight budgets. I'm looking for any suggestions on off property trips and tips for ways to...

Is it smart to make ADR's every day?

I don't know if we have enough information. Do you have a meal plan where you're locked into a certain number of ADRs? Are Table Service meals a must? Are you park hopping? We usually do the meal plan so we have 7 to use, we split them between dinner and breakfast though, and I think that's...

    Christmas Day Dining?

Yeah, as the other person said, those are just the ones offering traditional Christmas day food.

Is it just me, or are the Be Our Guest menus NOT appealing at all?

Can anyone really explain to me how the lunch time ordering is going to work? I know it's CS, but will all the dining rooms be open? Or just a few?

Questions About Planning a Disneyland Trip

No, it's one of the unofficial user submitted ones, I believe. Looking at the WDW and USF ones, they seem to be pretty accurate, though I have no way of knowing personally since I haven't been down there with it.

Questions About Planning a Disneyland Trip

Thanks, I read something about the limitedness of it, but I wasn't really sure. I got the wait times app for both DL and WDW, are the waits not as bad in Summer at DL? And how's the weather generally in July?

Half of theme-park visitors ages 25-49 come without kids

That's what I don't understand as much either. PI seemed to be more trouble than it's worth, even though there were a few things I would have liked to have done. FLE, while it's definitely not the only thing I'd want to happen, seems to be a good thing for all ages, and helps open up the most...

Questions About Planning a Disneyland Trip

I'm hoping it all works out and that happens. I guess my one other perk for possibly staying on site would be EMH, or the equivalent at DL, can you let me know a bit more about that? I think I read it's really only in the morning and is like WDW in that it's only for resort guests.

Questions About Planning a Disneyland Trip

Thanks, I should have known with the location it would be much easier, but for someone so used to WDW it's tough to imagine. Still hoping for 2 night/3 day stay to get a good bit out of the visit, it should be interesting either way, but there's definitely a lot I want to get done...

Questions About Planning a Disneyland Trip

Thanks, I'm going to push for 3, but DL isn't our chief reason for going out there, so it's going to be interesting to see how things go. Still a long way to go before all things are in place. How are the surrounding hotels? And you can walk from a place like The Desert Inn?

Questions About Planning a Disneyland Trip

Thanks for the info so far. I'm normally for staying some place a bit cheaper, because I mainly use the hotel for bed rather than a place I'll spend a large amount of time, I'm assuming my party has similar opinions. That said, is Disney transportation worth the extra money? I feel it is for...

Questions About Planning a Disneyland Trip

Some friends and I are planning a trip out to California next summer, and hopefully we'll be able to swing a few days at DL, I'm hoping 3, but probably at least 2. So my question is, what should we plan on planning to do? Is it best to try to go the extra mile and get about a 2 night stay at a...

splitsville, am I the only one that doesn't get it?

I think most others have hit the nail on the head, Disney's just trying things for a wide variety of people. While I may not be likely to go bowling or go to the movies on vacation, it doesn't mean that others, either on vacation too, working there, or locals, won't like using these things...

    Celebrities in Walt Disney World

Outside of the ones during Candlelight Processional, my sister apparently saw Coach Jimmy Johnson, but didn't know who he was or get a picture, so I can't say if she did for sure.
