News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I'm not an "insider" but I do have "friends on the other side" including one who is working on the Florida version right now.

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

The Florida version of Princess and the Frog Splash Mountain is currently full steam ahead in the works. They are not waiting on California's to open to decide if they want to do it in Florida too. I can remember seeing "Tiana's Showboat Jubilee" in Frontierland in 2009----funny how that show...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

Zero chance, it is happening for sure in Walt Disney World. The artwork seems to hint that some of the critters from the original might be reskinned, but a little blue birdie has told me not to count on that.

So people didn’t know how the 25th castle looked until they got there?

Euro Disneyland actually started that trend with their Strawberry Shortcake Castle in 1993. Blame them.

News Remy's Ratatouille Adventure coming to Epcot

It's kind of interesting that all three of Walt Disney World's trackless dark rides are within walking distance of each other---and two are rodent themed.

Scentsy and Walt Disney World are bringing a new guest experience within Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom

I was on a Muppet website and saw these----Scentsy has a whole line of these plush Disney characters and scents that are only available through a "Scentsy Consultant." Nightmare Before Christmas, Beauty and the Beast, Lady and the Tramp, Moana Pig, Genie, Miss Piggy and Kermit are all smelly...

    Guess the 50 Golden Statues

Yeah, the Other Site seems to be nailing all these. It's interesting how some really popular characters just didn't make the cut (like Peter Pan or Dopey). I suppose the locations chosen for these statues played a big role in their selection. One of the funniest things to me is the Rooster...

    Guess the 50 Golden Statues

Kevin and Zazu are appearing on 50th merchandise. I'd guess they will be statues in Animal Kingdom. Unless they aren't, since that bird from Runaway Railway is here too.

    Guess the 50 Golden Statues

I haven't seen "Soul" yet, but I think this statue is the neatest I've seen. That being said, according to Saturday Night Live, Joe Gardner prefers Worlds of Fun in Kansas City, MO.

    DINOSAUR merch removed

Aside from the possibility that the Disney Dinosaur merchandise isn't selling well, I wonder if this has to do with how the dinosaurs in the attraction are considered to be outdated in their design. Joe Rohde said as much when they were talking about Donald's Dino Bash and introducing the ideas...

News Splash Mountain retheme to Princess and the Frog - Tiana's Bayou Adventure

I have a reliable source saying Princess and the Frog Splash Mountain is indeed still happening in Orlando. And yes, many Imagineers are expected to relocate to Florida by the Fall (not indicating a timeline for Splash, just related to the recent Lake Nona news). From what I'm gathering, it...

    Pete Did Appear In-Park

Wow, I knew this existed, but have never actually seen it before. The Ice show costume looks pretty bad. The parade costume is cool. There was supposed to be an animatronic Pete at Pete's Silly Sideshow (there was concept art for it online). At least Pete finally showed up at Mickey and...

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Was a Mistake

It's funny, I feel like Animal Kingdom became fantastic to me when they finally ditched that stupid poaching storyline on the Safari. My first visit to the park was in 2004 and I feel like that ridiculous animatronic Elephant plot really ruined my impression of Animal Kingdom. But now the...

News 'Raya and the Last Dragon' offerings coming to Disney's Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom Asia McDonald's Happy Meal coming soon...I mean, Raya and the Last Dragon.🐲

Looney Tunes in Disney-MGM Studios in 1989 and early 1990s

Yes, this image was in an issue of Comics Scene magazine about the making of Roger Rabbit when the film debuted. I remember newspaper ads featuring Tweety and Speedy Gonzalez among the Roger Rabbit characters (I think this shows up on a DVD in the press section). Also, artwork for Roger...

Looney Tunes in Disney-MGM Studios in 1989 and early 1990s

This was a Tom and Jerry Movie promotion, as the Tom and Jerry Movie was distributed by Miramax Films in the United States. Disney had recently purchased Miramax Films at the time.

Looney Tunes in Disney-MGM Studios in 1989 and early 1990s

Yes, there was a store called the Looney Bin at Disney MGM, in a lightly themed Roger Rabbit area near the walking Studio tour. It sold Looney Tunes merchandise. I remember being surprised to see it.

    Zootopia at Animal Kingdom?

About as well as Monsters Inc. I guess.

    "DAK II Expansion"

I could see Raya and the Last Dragon being put into Asia at AK. It almost looks like they designed it for that.

    Zootopia at Animal Kingdom?

If we want to get technical, Zootopia has already appeared at Animal Kingdom on a very, very small scale. I pointed this out on Twitter to some "Zootopia doesn't belong in Animal Kingdom!" folks and it was explained to me that this exhibit was about man observing animals to make the film, so it...
