RUMOR- Free Dining to be released August 3rd.....

Last year, we arrived on December 17, which was the last day free dining was offered but it was given to us throughout the duration of our stay.

Some decent news about fall discounts.

Wait, I haven't seen any codes for December...

    Just booked! Dec.18-22 :)

We're going December 17-26! We went last year at the same time. Honestly, we didn't find the crowds to be that bad. As long as you get there before park opening, you should have no problem riding everything. Just being there at Christmas was so great, I don't think the crowds were going to...

    What's Your Favorite WDW Resort...

For moderates, Port Orleans French Quarter hands down! Pop Century is my favorite value resort. Wilderness Lodge for deluxe.

    Unrepresented movies at WDW

The Incredibles! It's the most underrated Pixar movie, and deserves an attraction of its own.

Splitsville bowling moving into Downtown Disney West Side

This is great news! Our family was just talking last trip about how Downtown Disney has almost everything covered except for bowling.

    Tutto Italia or Via Napoli

We have eaten at Tutto once before and loved it. I know Via Napoli is pizza oriented and the menus don't compare but how do you all feel about Via Napoli? Here is the rest of my reservations: The Wave Kona Cafe Le Cellier- First time! 'Ohana Chef Mickey's- First time! Artist Point-...

    Free Upgrade!!!

Since we are just going to the water parks and there weren't any discounts available for room only, yeah, we are paying rack rates. I don't understand the big deal. We've never been impressed with Swan and Dolphin so we decided to stay at Pop. It's all irrelevant since we got an upgrade...

    Free Upgrade!!!

We booked a preferred room at Pop. Also, that price included tax.

    Free Upgrade!!!

So we booked Pop Century July 9-11 because we're planning to visit the water parks for the first time! Well, we received an email this evening offering a free upgrade to any moderate resort or Saratoga Springs or Old Key West. For the price of $167 a night, we got a 1-bedroom villa at Saratoga...

It's getting close... Help me, please! :)

Whispering Canyon Cafe is very high energy, kids usually love it. Atmosphere trumps food quality here, however.

    October at WDW

Last year, free dining was offered throughout the month of October, though this year Disney hasn't exactly been following the trends of past years' offers. We went the last week of October in '07,'08, and '09. In 2007, we thought the crowds were very low, but due to the increasing popularity...

    Captain Cook's or Kona Cafe

We have never eaten at Captain Cook's, but I highly recommend Kona Cafe. We had free dining last December and decided to try other restaurants. We bypassed Kona since we ate there the past two years. We ate at places like Narcoosee's and Yachtsman Steakhouse and our whole family agreed...

Pictures of the 2011 mugs....too cute!!!

At some point of time, however, I believe the mug policy was that you were able to use the mug on any subsequent trip to the resort. For instance, our family bought 2 All Star Sports mugs in 2006. Now, during the time of purchase and today the rule has changed. But, to each its own...

Magic Kingdom currently closed to some guests due to capacity (phase 2) (Wed 29 Dec)

I'm sorry you didn't have a great time. But we were there the 17th-26th, and thought that the crowds weren't nearly as bad as we thought they were going to be. Of course, we were prepared and go every year. But to be "let down by Disney" because you made a decision to show up at the spur of the...

    Week before Christmas- Which resort?

I highly recommend POFQ. While there isn't a table service restaurant, Downtown Disney is just a boat ride away. The proximity to Downtown Disney really makes it worth it you are concerned with dining.

    Sci-Fi Dine-In Theatre - Seeking review

I do not recommend it! Terrible food and I wasn't a fan of the atmosphere. It was the only Disney meal (including counter service) that our family just out and out hated. I'd recommend Pizza Planet over this.

    Pools heated?

A couple of years ago in October it was freezing one night. The pools were heated, but it was so cold outside the pool we froze to death on our way back to the room!

Moderate vs. Value - I need an analysis

Stay at French Quarter! We always stayed at the All Star Resorts and Pop until two years ago when we stayed here. We can't imagine going back. French Quarter is the smallest resort on property, so you don't have to worry about requesting a room close to the lobby or bus stop, or worrying about...
