    Morning Activity

Me too! That's just what we'd do! When we arrive we always go to the MK and just - you know - look at the castle. It's our, WELCOME TO WDW :sohappy: moment! We don't necessarily stay long - we just have to go!

    Morning Activity

I'd go to the Magic Kingdom when it opens. Take the train around, have a muffin at the bakery, ride Dumbo - that'll keep the kids awake!!:) I remember the first time my daughter went to wdw - it was like she'd overdosed on caffein or something - she was never tired and wanted to be at the MK...

I need a fridge for my upcoming trip

Oh, it's for the best that wdwmagic doesn't. I will say that there is nothing more entertaining than a forum refrigerator or photopass exchange gone awry!

    My beef with the resorts

Oh, I'll figure out some way to win my way back onto it between now and Christmas. ;) (To do list: Do or say something really endearing so that everyone will forgive me.)

    My beef with the resorts

Thank you! But don't worry, I don't scare easy! :ROFLOL: I knew this topic would create some emotion - that's why I said I was trying to provoke a discussion in the original post - it's fun to see what people will say if you criticize WDW. The person who made a jab at my avatar, while I...

    My beef with the resorts

exactly - and get what you get at nonWDW resorts of similar price. But WDW has other special things that nonWDW resorts don't have. I'm just creating the perfect resort in my mind!

    My beef with the resorts

Your ideas are good - but I never like bringing my laptop - I travel pretty light to WDW and don't want to worry about something happening to it. If I had work to do, I would, otherwise, I leave it at home. I don't like keeping snacks in my room because then I'll eat the snacks in my room, lol...

    Planning Huge Trip Need Help

I've never done the cruise but I've read here about many people doing the parks and the cruise with way less than 2 weeks so I think that sounds great! I'm sure that there will be others here to help you more - I just thought I'd bump this up for you!

    Not going w/ mother-in-law again

My daughter and I have our list of "banned from WDW" list. If you come with us once and complain a lot or cause us problems, you are banned. Well, I guess not technically, you can make your own trip, but it won't be with us! My husband is worming his way off the list, lol, he seems...

    My beef with the resorts

You make some good points. I think this is why we keep going back to WDW. Like I said, the things I was whining about are more things that I would change if I were queen of WDW - but I do really appreciate the things they do well.

    My beef with the resorts

I was making a joke. I don't really think little kids are having cashews and gin and tonic parties in the middle of the night either. No, I wouldn't prefer to vacation elsewhere, but thanks for the suggestion.

    My beef with the resorts

I was just saying in a private message to someone - and I think it bears repeating - I hope no one thinks this is a huge deal for me. I just felt like starting a discussion. Lots of times my daughter and I talk about what we'd do if we were in charge of WDW - once my daughter said she'd...

    My beef with the resorts

Slappy, my husband is not that understanding... (and I am the very definition of a jealous fishwife). Wait, (addressing the whole group and not just Slappy here) I want to know about these kids who are getting into minibars. Are they stealing the key out of their parents' pants...

    My beef with the resorts

I think I'm starting to realize that we are just in the minority. We go a lot and there are some days we don't do a single ride. Last trip there was a day we slept til noon, had lunch, shopped at World Showcase, had a late dinner, and then went back to the room. Not a single ride. I guess WDW...

    My beef with the resorts

We do - but they close pretty early sometimes. But you know, There are a lot of things besides the parks that I love about WDW. I love being at the resorts - they are all so cool.

OK I just snorted I'm laughing so hard. I'm there without my husband many times but good suggestion never-the-less!

    My beef with the resorts

I'm 52 and I just love it when someone uses an expression I've never heard of before! The devil's tinkle water. :ROFLOL: That's a really good one!!! :ROFLOL:

    My beef with the resorts

OK everybody keeps saying this but not really hearing what I'm saying. I don't sit in my hotel and watch tv either out of choice. But there are some nights when there is nothing else to do. Because things are closed. I'm talking about 11:00, midnight, even 1:00 when I would normally be out if...

    My beef with the resorts

I guess I'm seeming like an alcoholic since this appears to be so important to me lol, :zipit:, but really, it's just that going out and having drinks is kind of a vacation luxury for me. It's hard to go out when I'm home since we don't drink and drive (when my husband and I go out here guess...

    My beef with the resorts

All I'm asking for is the things regular resorts have and do. At 11:00 at a resort there should be plenty to do and there just is not at WDW. The marketplace closes then. Resort bars are closed. A Friday night at DTD my daughter and I could only find house of blues willing to serve us at 10:50...
