    Universal Studios and food allergies

Thanks. Neither of them go anywhere without a full set of Auvi-q each and Benadryl (and inhaler for my older son). WDW is already set. I have the form from Special Diets to fill out & email back, and all our ADRs are set with the allergies noted. I didn't know if Universal has something similar.

    Universal Studios and food allergies

Thank you. As long as we can get decent meals for our older son, we'll be happy. My youngest with just the nut allergies is easier to find food for.

    Universal Studios and food allergies

My younger son is severely anaphylactic, airborne, and contact allergic to peanuts & tree nuts. My older son is allergic to dairy, eggs, tree nuts, beef, pineapple, kiwi, fish, lamb, pork, pumpkin, sesame, chickpea, buckwheat and I think that's it. Aren't you glad you asked?! Lol

Sounds great, thanks so much! That's interesting that they each carry, it's good to know! :-D

Kudos to Disney World on handling dietary needs

My older son is dairy allergic and had his first ever ice cream at WDW. He also had rice pudding, waffles, pancakes, and I can't remember what else.

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

We have not even 1/2 acre and have neighbors on both sides and a main road behind us! Not exactly private like your yard. :-)

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

OMG that's horrible!!! It's one thing if a young child has an accident, but to stand there and LET your child do that! I would NEVER let any of my kids do that! Sheesh... I don't even let my boys pee in our backyard!

Kudos to Disney World on handling dietary needs

We're planning our kids' third trip for this summer and both our boys have severe multiple food allergies. They always eat like kings at WDW!

    Universal Studios and food allergies

How is Universal with food allergies? We've taken our children to WDW twice and this summer we're going back to WDW and Universal as well. This will be our first US trip with the kids so I was wondering if anyone has any info about dining there with allergies. Thanks!

    Dining With Allergies

The first time we took our kids, my son had over 30 allergies and he ate like a king at WDW! They had gluten free waffles and pancakes for him, he was also dairy, egg, beef, tree nut and peanut free (among many others). We're taking the kids back this summer for their 3rd trip (well our...

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

True, but I'd hope that for children like that, or young ones who don't know any better, the parents/ guardian/ foster parents would be right there with them, keeping an eye on them and keeping them safe!

Seriously, people need to be reminded not to drink pool water?

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

This reminds me of something that happened on our honeymoon at WDW (I honestly can't remember if DH or I posted this story already, so if we did I apologize for reposting). We were eating dinner at Cinderella's Castle and had the only 2 person table RIGHT in front of the windows, THE perfect...

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

It almost happened to me last month at the town carnival. I didn't even have alcohol, but the combo of the major heat wave, plus not drinking enough, plus A LOT of fast spinny rides and I wasn't doing too well! It was super embarrassing since we knew almost everyone there!

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

I never said kids don't overreact at times. What I said was not every kid screams at any type of punishment, which were your exact words. And no, my kids don't scream when punished since they are not terrified of getting hurt and they understand that if you misbehave there are consequences...

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

That's a pretty general statement to make, and unless you've seen ALL kids and how they react when punished, it's not one that you can truthfully say. My kids have never once screamed at any punishment and neither have any of the kids I've taught or worked with. In fact, that was the first...

Did I Really Just See That.....in Disney World?????

I had honestly forgotten about these forums and this thread (and I guess DH did as well) until I got an email that someone posted.
