What's the deal with some Disney Fans? by Robert Niles

For all the hoopla, you get one very well done ride and a very well themed shopping area. Two rides were there before, so you aren't getting any extra "bang for your buck". There are some great photo ops - singers, the Hogwarts Express - but this land is geared towards one thing only: having...

    New Info from CM

Building 2 NEW Dumbos makes perfect sense. One reason would be to let the old one run longer. Another is that it makes sense to upgrade the ride with better, smoother, more effecient and a more durable design. You could do all that and make it look the same. One more reason is that if you...

WDW set to raise prices once again -- myFOXOrlando

What is odd about the report I was reading was that it said they would honor the old tickets until January 3rd. That was odd - considering Disney has always honored older tickets anytime (including someone who brought in the old ticket books!). Is this a change in policy or just poor reporting...

What could Disney do better with wwohp if they wouldve won the licence?

I'm pretty certain the train would actually TAKE you to Hogwarts instead of just spewing smoke. Walt loved his trains. You might also have the option of taking a boat to Hogwarts too (like in the movies). The womping tree would be a ride, like Dumbo or Aladdin. Something for the little...

what's the bottom line for the Adventurer's club?

There has been talk in the past of adding it to Adventureland but it appears that this won't be happening. It did reopen for a few select events last year, but that was supposed to the last hurrah.

Going for 4 Parks in 1 Day

I agree - Transportation is your biggest challenge. If you drive, it takes a good chunk of time to get to your car (I won't address remembering where you parked!), driving to the next park, going through the line to park, parking, and then getting into the next park. The only positive to...

    Disney newborn

Here are my suggestions: 1) Decide where you will be mainly going on this trip. If you are staying in the parks, do NOT take the bus. If your child gets upset or needs a nap or you need to go back to your room for any reason, it can take up to an hour. If you can, drive to the parks. At...

    Muppetvision Refurb Announced

Go watch the Youtube videos of the muppets they have released recently. They are very well done, and haven't lost their touch. I agree, the original preshow is amazing - funny and VERY clever use of all the monitors. I honestly hope they never lose this preshow - maybe mix it with some new...

    Wilderness Lodge Reviews/ Opinions/ Experiences???

Only negative at our last stay: bringing bags up to our room. The service was horrible. The valet actually asked my wife for a tip, and then left our bags on the curb. He said his shift was over. Someone did eventually move them, but it took an hour to get them to our room. The manager was...

DHS-First to worst. Can I get an amen?

Why my family LOVES DHS Every trip we go to WDW, we go to two parks: Magic Kingdom and DHS. Why DHS? *Excellent food. The Brown Derby is great. So is Prime Time Cafe. Some of our favorite in park restaurants. * My son is 2 and LOVES Playhouse Disney. Pictures with characters, a...

What is the best atrraction Disney has created?

Tower of Terror. Best story, great job of editing old footage to tell a new story, and the random drops means it is never the same.

What is the best character breakfast?

We went to Crystal Palace and Hollywood and Vine recently. Hollywood and Vine was a really horrible experience. The waitress was actually very good, but it was loud, the food was pretty bad, and I HATE having to wait when I have a reservation. Crystal Palace was a good experience - ok food...

We can consider the SM refurb a success becuase they didn't completely destroy it!

I think the correct term is that they "plussed" this ride - adding games in the queue, pictures taken during the ride - while they were doing what most termed some necessary repairs to the track. Often times, we who are used to one thing don't appreciating "plussing" but until we experience it...

A bit saddened - club level availability

I loved being in the Contemporary on the Concierge/Club level. There are plenty of differences that I can think of immediately that made that visit amazing. Having a concierge help with making reservations that seemed like weren't going to happen was a Godsend. We had a sick child and they...

What do you think of "Celebrations" Magazine

I really liked that the magazine pointed you outward - citing articles by writers of websites where you could find more information that wasn't just a rehash of their web articles. I've learned quite a bit about photography after both that article and the author's web site.

    Someone Got A Celebrations Mag!!!

Got my magazine today as well - a little worse for the wear (thanks, USPS!) but the content is really great as well as the many incredible photos. I highly recommend it for all Disney fans!

    Pop Century question

I wouldn't stay anywhere near the pool unless I was a sound sleeper. The noise from the music and the swimmers is quite loud.

I need ideas for a Xmas morning surprise WDW trip

One year, my grandmother surprised us by giving us a copy of "Donald Duck Goes to Disneyland" which ends with donald getting a ticket to Disneyland. Our tickets to WDW were attached on the next page. It was kind of a gift within the gift. It's an old book and the wrong park, but the surprise...

    MNSSHP - should I go?

For the last 2 years, my father and I have gone as adults and had a great time. It is a pretty hefty extra cost, but we learned to get into Orlando, relax in our rooms, and go straight to MNSSHP since they let you into the park with that ticket at around 4 pm. I can't imagine being in the park...

    Pop Century or All Stars??

If you stay at the POP, avoid the pool side rooms! The music is played until very late at night, there is a lot of noise from the kids playing, and we didn't get any sleep until well after midnight. If you a light sleeper and are trying to get an early nights, this is something to think about...
